The 2640 S. Michigan location of Enterprise is always really friendly and has great customer service. My only gripes (and I assume these things can/do happen at all of their locations) are: 1) sometimes there are quite a few walk-in customers who make it difficult to pick up my reserved vehicle on time, and 2) due to overbooking, I have gotten stuck twice with a hilariously oversized vehicle (I always request compact, but left once with a GMC 1400 pickup). I get it; it's just the way the day goes sometimes. Anyway, back to customer service: really, the staff here is amazing. They are always happy to offer pick-up and drop-off service too, even if I forgot to ask for it in advance. I'm glad this is my neighborhood location.nnUpdate 3/15/2021: I had another positive interaction about two weeks ago when my husband and I needed a rental due to our own car breaking down during the snow. I met the new manager, Ian, and he was very friendly and customer-service oriented. He went out of his way to ask me if there were any issues I'd ever noticed at this location that he could address as the new manager. I told him I honestly didn't have any negative experiences to report!

The first time I was there, I had a feel that they never even clean the vehicle because it smelled bad and I saw sticky stains from sodas. The second time I was there, with a reservation I made in the app 3 days ago that was confirmed and checked in, they simply told me that there was no car available for my reservation and there is no estimated waiting time but I can choose to wait or leave. Why do we as customers should do everything possible to speed up the process and only to realize they don’t care and couldn’t do proper management? I’d give zero star if possible.

I always have a great experience at this location. The staff is professional, attentive and helpful. They go the extra mile to insure I have the best service from beginning to end. I highly recommend renting from enterprise, but especially from this location.

Overall, I was happy with my experience. The rental car was affordable and reliable. However, the pick up experience was just awful. I had to wait in line outside for an hour and a half, despite arriving at my scheduled pick up time and completing all the paperwork online in advance. If you rent a car from this location, mentally prepare yourself to kill an hour and a half standing outside in the hot sun before you get your car.

I make a reservation a month in advance, you all call a day or two before the reservation to confirm. I state I will be there and on time. Get there, and I have to wait 2 hours for a vehicle. You open with no cars available, therefore making everyone late for their departures. To work off returns only is not good, Especially in the morning. Why would you not have a large enough fleet to have cars available for morning reservations. At least open with 5 to 10 cars. Then as your returns come in, have someone there just to clean and prep the vehicles.nThen I give all my information to the rep at the counter, just to go outside and have to repeat ALLnTHE INFORMATION AGAIN, WHY?????nI was late making my appointment in another state, due to the fact that I had to wait 2 hours for you all to get my money. Not good at ALL.
