Avis Car Rental

The car was not clean, and very scratched up. Customer service was slow.

Car was nice, clean and no odor. The price was great when we reserved the vehicle. We did the after hour drop off and they did not check it in until 2 days later. B/c of that, they charged us for the additional days, a late fee, and additional rates for the rental insurance we purchased and extra driver. I had to spend 45+ mins on the phone to request refund, and the after hours does not give you a receipt or any proof of date and time you drop off so it took a while for them to research everything and get me some answers on how to fix the charges. Everything was grate until the after hours experience and getting the receipt.

Your company was deceptive with the original price. It looked competitive at first but the hidden charge of $145.46 was an unpleasant surprise. Also the oil change light and washer fluid warnings were continuous since I pulled the car away from your facility. I expect better from a long time major U.S. brand.

Avis selected a new mid-size vehicle that was a perfect size, comfortable and extremely clean. It took very little effort to make the appointment, pick-up and drop off. The airport shuttle arrived within just a few minutes. The only complaint is that we tried to call them several times to change our pick-up time due to a delay and no one answered. We called the national Avis number to reach them.

Avis put a hidden charge on gas. I drove out of RDU airport Avis with 7/8 tank of gas and return with slight over full meter. Avis told I am all good to go when I returned the car and the attendance said will email the receipt. To my surprise after half an hour later, Avis charge me 5.99$ for 0.6Gallon. Incredible!!!nBy the way, the car already had 39000 miles on it and was dirty inside and outside with dents and scratches all over the car. I should learn my lessons and never rent from Avis again.
