Avis Car Rental

Had a reservation for 3/19-3/22. THEY called me and let me know they were cancelling my reservation because they were over booked. Ok fine, but it's a prepaid reservation I said. The agent gave me the phone number to corporate to get a refund. It doesn't just happen automatically I ask? No, if I don't call they will still keep a $50 cancellation fee out of the prepaid reservation. WHAT?? So then I spend 15 minutes of my life on the phone with corporate getting a refund, which will take 3-5 days to hit my card. So they cancelled my reservation, keep my money for a few days, I get no car and I am the one that has to spend time on the phone to fix it. Probably one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. And for all that trouble they offered me a coupon code for $25 off a future rental. What a complete and total joke.

Absolutely the best car rental experience I've ever had. Clean cars, great customer service, will recommend. Jacob is the best employee I've met at Avis and provided me with everything I needed. Highly recommend this place for a good rate and even better cars!

This was my first time using a rental car service. The process was easy and quick and the car was great! The customer service from the front desk lady at my drop off location at the airport in Greenville, SC was awesome! My only issue was the pricing, which in my opinion, greatly exceeded the value. I reserved a vehicle for literally 11 hours, but returned it 2.5 hours early because I not longer needed it. My total was over $130. This didn’t include fuel expenses that I had to pay to avoid extra charges from Avis for retuning a vehicle with anything less than a full tank of gas. $130 seems a bit excessive for less than a half of one day.
