Budget Car Rental

I have rented cars from Avis for years. And I have never been disappointed with them. But this last time I rented I was given a car that wasn’t up to what I payed for. I went back to talk with the staff to let them know about how the car smelled and how the cars radio wouldn’t work. The two people behind the counter were very rude but another staff member walked up to see if she could help. I have never met her but she calmly asked if she could help. I explained to her my reason for returning the car and she said they could switch it out and with out hesitation she walked me out and apologized for the inconvenience. This lady was one of the most kind hearted person I’ve ever met. We got to talking while going to the new car they gave me and I’m surprised that this lady had been working there for maybe a week. She took her time to show me how the radio worked how to work the GPS and answered my questions without hesitation. To Avis and Budget I wanted to tell everyone Maggie (I believe) was not only companionate but made my bad day a little better. If it wasn’t for her generosity I would have never rented from this company again but due to this one employee that cared for not only the company but the customer too, I will continue renting from your company as I do every two weeks. Maggie thank you for showing true companion and keep that love for customers. Best customer service from Maggie even if she was new to the company only there for a week. She knew more about the company than the other two rude sales man and women behind the counter. Thank you Maggie keep being you!

I have rented from Budget many times over many years. The staff is always courteous, helpful and quick to amend things should the rental need changed or added to even at last minute. Their cars are always clean and in good repair. The ease of pickup and drop-off is exceptional. Thank you!!

Horrible customer service from behind the desk. Horrible customer service over the phone. This company does not care plain and simple. Horrible experience all around. As someone who is brand new to the experience of renting a car, I hope I never have to rent a car ever again and I will do everything in my power to make sure that that is true.nnIf I had time to write out the whole story describing all of the things wrong with my experience in a single day of dealing with this company it would be paragraphs upon paragraphs long. I rented a car for a day for the first time and brought it back super early in mint condition. I made sure to throw out all of my trash on my own and keep it as clean as possible, I did everything possible to avoid anything that would incur an extra charge. But of course, without telling me, this company straight up robbed me plain and simple with extra charges without warning without telling me what the charge was for and without having me sign off on the amount. If you are a brand new customer and never rented a car make sure you do not let them take advantage of you because they will take every opportunity to do so.nnI’ll just explain the final straw to the whole day. I asked very specific questions before giving the keys back to make sure that I wasn’t going to be charged. I asked the girl behind the desk how full the tank needed to be because I was a brand new customer and I obviously didn’t know the rules and she just asked me how full it was. I told her it was half full and she the told me it was fine. Keep in mind, I was an hour and a half early returning the car and I could have gone down the road to refill it. I was not sure what the gas policy was and I was obviously inquiring to find out if I’d be charged or if I needed to fill it all the way up. She just said “it’s fine” and then after I gave her the keys backnI had to ask for my receipt and she said “oh yeah, here you go” THE CHARGES WERE DOUBLE WHAT I EXPECTED. I asked her why and she said “it’s $10 a gallon.” She should have told me that before I returned the keys when I was asking. Straight up theft.

Good rental company, I have used them off and on for years. Reasonable prices. Will use again and again and again.

I had had a negative experience with Budget in the past and was sure I was never going to rent from them again. Amar, the manager from the Wilmington Airport Budget location, single-handedly changed that. His attention to detail, professionalism, and courteousness was unmatched.
