In short, stay away from this business. I have had multiple unpleasant experiences here, and after Saturday (September 15th), my last.nnIn summary, I was returning a car that I had originally rented from the Dulles airport. Upon my arrival, the manager (assumed owner) directed one of the workers to assist me with checking in the car. That individual inspected the car, found no issues, provided me with a receipt indicating a charge for the contracted amount and I left the location.nnToday, in reviewing my cc charges and electronic receipts, I notice an additional $93.46 was charged to to the card/contract ~3 hours after I returned the car. I immediately called Avis' 800 number as the updated receipt simply indicated a miscellaneous charge of $80.00 and associated fees. Absolutely no detail on the charge.nnThe Avis representative informed me that the charge was for a phone that was in the car. Obviously, there was no phone and the agent has since removed the charges. This coupled with my other experiences with this location, prompted this review.nnIf you are looking to rent a vehicle in the Frederick, MD area, I would strongly encourage you to look at other options. There are most certainly better options available.

I’ve been coming here for years. The customer service has improved immensely over the years. I now truly enjoy their speed of services, both at pickup and drop off.

Not happy at all! Did you know there is a “surcharge “ if you don’t drive at least 75 miles!!! I will never ever use them again. The rep was completely unapologetic. I drove less miles so they charge me more!! Terrible customer service. I will tell anyone willing to listen to never use Avis. It’s not the money but the principal and lack empathy!

The owner of this place is really shady. I made a one way reservation to Newark online. At the time of pickup I was told the only vehicle available for one way was a van and was asked if I wanted it. I specifically asked if there would be additional fees to which he replied none. As I was handed the agreement to sign, I noticed about $7 more but ignored. Upon return from my international trip i checked my credit card account and realized a different charge in addition to the $7. The corporate office told me it was for an update which I didn’t agree to. I had to call Amex to dispute the charge. Avis just lost a customer.

Every time we went to drop off or pick up a car, the manager is the rudest. His lack of understanding in customer is always right. He must have missed this part of training. He needs to be trained on customer service.nnWorst Avis rental branch!nAvis HQ take note of this branch's trend in their review..
