Dollar Car Rental

Awful company - If I could give zero stars I would. Do NOT rent with Dollar. Nothing but issues from searching for car at Orlando Airport and Priceline/Kayak pulling up wrong location, spending extra $ on taxi, going 45 miles out of our way, and not being advised about or offered a toll pass. When you call, they conveniently put you on hold forever and then can only say you have to talk to the location and the location not having a separate # that you can call. Call them back and they give you the run around on everything saying they can't help that you have to travel back to the location (2 hours away) to change anything. Talking to managers, reservation extension dept, nothing will be done by Dollar to help you out in the least.

Arrived after a 2 hour flight to find a 2 hour line at dollar/thrifty . Last time I’ll rent from this company. Unfortunately stuck with them today due to prepay. Alamo, National and enterprise also have counters here with no wait. Dollar/thrifty line is Longer line than any airport security line I can recall in the past 5 years.

I returned a vehicle on time, 3 days after I was charged with an extra 100 dollars and 2 weeks passed my deposit was still not returned, these people are irresponsible..

I booked my car rental through dollar on March 3, 2021. We flew in today 3/20/21 right before 9 AM from Colorado Springs to Orlando. As we were figuring out where we needed to go for our car rental, we received a text message stating:nnThis is dollar thrifty reaching out in regards to your reservation today. We are completely sold out for the rest of the week and I will not be able to fulfill your reservation. I am so sorry for the inconvenience.nIf you did pay with a second party you can just reach out to them for a full refund.nI couldn’t believe they would do this the day of my arrival! They times it just right when I got off of my flight.nWe went up to the counter at the airport and they stated that we would have to pay $1000 to get another car rental. I paid $286.20 when I originally booked through Priceline.nWe called dollar rental car company numerous times and could not get through to anyone. We spoke to a customer service that was not at the location and all she did was apologize and try to get me to the main location but no one would ever pick up. We were stranded at the airport for three hours trying to figure out what to do. We ended up having to spend money to Uber to our hotel and will have to spend money tomorrow to Uber to get our car rental. They did not have anything available today so we had to book for tomorrow through the 24th with a different company Easirent I highly recommend. This is unacceptable on their side. This is a scam to get people to pay more money on the day they fly in. They can not do this to people it ruined my whole first day of plans being here to spend time with my family. We ended up getting a car rental for tomorrow through Easirent. Thanks for wasting my vacation time and money!

Crowne plaza hotel downtown.. has a small booth but 1 person checks the cars in, out, wash, vacuum and all of the above....I FELT SORRY FOR THE GUY.. HIRE MORE PEOPLE DOLLAR/THRIFTY AT CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL DOWNTOWN ORLANDO!!!!!!
