Sixt Rent A Car

My husband and I arrived Dulles International Airport after a 13hr flight from Dubai, very tired. Our car rental reservation with Sixt had been subject to availability during a busy weekend as it wasn't one of our go to companies. We were met by a very friendly young man, Sam, who gave a seamless and exemplary service. He was very thorough and was kind enough to give us an upgrade. We were out of there in no time, satisfied and happynThe drop off process was no different, we would definitely consciously choose Sixt a next time!

Had a good experience renting a van through Sixt. Van could have been cleaned a little better (kid hand prints on the windows), but the everything else was exceptional. We got a flat tire on our trip. There customer support was quick and responsive, and reimbursed us for the tire upon return. The prepaid price was exceptional. I would rent again from them and would recommend them for your vehicle rentals.

Great company. I've used them in Europe where they have a bigger presence. They have a much better car selection as far as luxury brands are concerned (Volvo, bmw, cadillac, higher end Chevy) with a fair price for them compared to enterprise and hertz. Only thing is they don't have overnight returns which was a little weird to me but no issues. Definitely recommend especially if you like driving something nice.

You Rock!!ud83dude01nnI’m currently in dispute with Sixt car rental over about $60.00 in tolls and admin fees. Sixt alleges that I incurred tolls(5) driving through the area of New Jersey/New York while the rental car was parked in my garage in VA (for one (1 charge) and then while it was parked in Alabama (other 4 charges).nnSo far, their only response has been to the tune of, we are only responsible to pass the charges over to you, not to investigate them. They sent me to the toll company (ezpass), who won’t speak with me because I don’t have an ezpass account with them - who in turn sent me right back to Sixt - the complete definition of “customer run around.”nnIt’s really unfortunate that Sixt car rental feel no sense of responsibility to investigate these errors/fraudulent charges and that I, as a customer, have no recourse to resolve this issue. Their lack of concern and attention to the voice of their customers will be at the expense of their reputation. Their policy for handling tolls (refusal to investigate) seems to indicate that random toll fees can be charged to a customer’s account at will. I was assessed tolls in New Jersey/New York area while asleep in my bed and their car parked in my garage in VA for 1 of 5 assessed tolls and in Alabama when the other 4 of 5 tolls were assessed - about a thousand miles away - I wonder how many other customers have been pimped out of their money due to random error/fraudulent charges which Sixt refuses to look into.

Rented and prepaid for a Mercedes Benz AWD over the phone with extra and full insurance., However when I came to take delivery of the Mercedes at the Dulles Airport location, the Mercedes was nowhere to be found, I was quickly downgraded to a Volvo with no discounts offered or given., Upon driving the vehicle off the lot approx 1 mile the Volvo started shaking and pulled hard to the right. The Drivers side front tire was completely flat and after calling Sixt customer service was told I had to pay for the tow back to the shop even though I finally found a tow truck (snowy evening). And and was deeply disappointed with this company
