Avis Car Rental

Very short notice between when I rented via the App and picked up the car. I got an unrequested free upgrade because it was late on a Monday and the car I was supposed to get had not yet been cleaned. The attendant was excellent - and I spent less than 2 minutes total getting the car. Then my car being repaired was late - I went to the app and extended the return date 3 separate times - so easy to use - an EXCELLENT app. And I rarely say this - it is very well thought out. Very clean in appearance, everything you need apparent and intuitive to use

I has charged Fuel service fee. I returned the car with full fuel. I am not an unhappy customer for getting charged extra when I asked the returning agent if I was all set. They said good to go. I was expecting them to give me a paper receipt but they said it was emailed. Next time I might need to ask explicitly. This extra $20 gotcha fee leaves a bad taste in my mouth with an otherwise fine rental.

Absolutely the most unprofessional rental service. From day 1 the customer service was unable to understand and use my voucher. After they charged me$370 before I even pickup up my car( I elected pay at pickup) once I was there they stated it would take 24hours for it to be refunded because they need to adjust my rental and add voucher. I even upgraded to a nicer truck and added the additional charge no problem. On day of return I was running behind and called the number to adjust time the recording didn’t say anything about additional day fee of 81.99. It said ok here’s the new total which was 270.00 on the day I was leaving I saw an authorization of 250.00 and asked about my balance due when I return.($ 169.98). I figured it was a deposit added and I would get it back. I’m truly dissatisfied and disappointed at how the manager spoke to me and the gentleman he helped before me. Statements of o you thought it was free” and this is how enterprise works also. I dated we’re talking about you not another rental company. I let him know he was unprofessional and rolling his eyes isn’t how you treat a customer. I still have a charge of $370 on my debit card not refund And another charge of 270.00 on my Cc plus my 250.00 voucher!!!

Winter 2020 Reviews - I've traveled throughout the USA and in other parts of the world and probably have rented rental cars more than 100 times for professional, business and personal use. I've never had a bad/upsetting experience with Avis until this one. My spouse was renting a car at this location and we felt that this location did not meet our expectations or AVIS standards at all. It's either we were being taking advantages of, they were short of staff, or their automated returned processes need to be improved.nnThe LIKES:n- GOOD PRICE: My wife rented this AVIS rental card through a third party website Priceline.com and got a decent deal.n- NEW CAR MODELS 2020: Her AVIS rental car is brand new 2020 with a very low mileage. This makes customer feels comfortable driving a long distance.n- CLEAN: Her AVIS rental car is very clean because I think it's brand new and they really clean inside.n- PROMPT RESPONSE FOR ISSUES RESOLUTION: We had 2 unauthorized and incorrect charges and got responses and satisfying resolution very quickly in 1 business day or less. However, this caused inconvenience and confusion to us. So we don't really appreciate the fact that they charged us twice for charges we did not use. See the dislikes section below.nnTHE DISLIKES:n- CAR RETURN, NO STAFF TO CONFIRM: When we returned, there were no staff to confirm the return of the car because they were short of staff. It appears only one staff at the counter and there's a long line so we just left our returned car without getting a confirmation or final receipt/return acknowledgement/return time stamp from them.n- INCORRECT CHARGES: This is the most upsetting thing that I feel like we are being taken advantages off. It's either they this location think we are immigrants who would not dispute, the renter is female, or they are short of staff and their automated return process has some really bad flaw.nnAfter about 1 week of returning the car, we were charged TWICE incorrectly.n1. My wife was charged for GAS that she did not purchase and her tank was completely FULL when we returned it. We literally filled up full tank a few miles from AVIS Return Center. The AVIS representative could not tell how this happened. I explained that we absolutely declined purchasing the AVIS gas fill up service and that we took the photo before we left our returned rental car. The gas indicator shows full tank (See photo attached).n2. After that we were charged with AVIS E Toll Service!! I had to call them again to explain that we used our own Toll Transponder, we never took AVIS transponder out for use and I have all the tolls transactions receipt. I had to then send an email to AVIS's Third Party Toll Transponder partner to explain and finally get my refund back in 1 business day.nnThese incorrect charges never happened when renting other car rental companies directly or through third party websites. I think I used AVIS at other locations and did not have this problem as well.nnCONCLUSION:nI would not completely recommend this place to others unless they get cheaper deal in comparison to other rental car companies and they just have to keep looking out for potential extra charges after their return such as gas fill up or toll charges, etc.
