Budget Car Rental

If I could give this location zero stars I would. We first of all didn’t get the car we had chose online & were given an SUV. Fine, whatever. No one walked out with us to look at the car beforehand and the lady at the front desk was on a personal phone call when we walked in. She never went over the charges or ANY information at the time of check out. Our cards were charged $40 each for no reason explained. The car was dirty and smelled HORRIBLY of weed. We had to put air fresheners in it to get the smell to a tolerable level for our Ohio to Texas trip. The parking lot is a disaster. NEVER!!!!!!! Will I use this location or budget ever again.

The car was decent and the amount I paid for it wasn’t too bad. Two days after returning it my credit card was charged an additional fee without any notice (email or text) or phone call as to why they charged me an extra $45. The gas tank was full and the car was returned in the condition it was rented to me in. They never checked the car when I returned it. Lesson learned to take pictures of the car before turning the keys in.

I rented a car and when I got there yhey didn't have my car. The lady upgraded me which made me happy until I went out to car and it smelled like weed really bad. I went back in and the girl didn't offer me anything but told me I could go to store and buy some odor spray. I called customer service go complain and they acted like it was no big deal except one guy named Jason who was really nice who told me to go to another one near me and trade car out for a different one because they had cars. I drove there and the rude lady told me she had no cars. So I had to postpone my trip until I could get it taken care of the next day. I tried reaching out to the customer service again and was disconnected from two or three times after being on hold for over an hour. The next day I went back to the original place and they switched out my car and this time the car had a signal saying needs a oil change now which concerned me because we were going out of town. After I drove home I nkticed a signal of an A with a circle around it and then I heard the breaks grinding. I went back to place and the lady told me that the car was fine but switched out car to a smaller car and said this would be the last time they could change out cars. I was stunned because non of this was my fault. I reached out to customer service again (coorperate) and asked them for a refund due to all issues and the fact that my first car wasn't even cleaned out with a pandemic going on. I found chapstick and trash as well as jelly on inside of window. They told me they couldn't do anything except give me one day free and two days free on next rental. I will never rent here again due to them not caring and the rude service. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and think it's sad that I missed two days that I paid for but wasn't able to drive cars and had to postpone my trip by two days due to this.

When I got to the pick up place to get my rental, the clerk said I was lucky someone dropped off their rental before we got there, because nothing else was available. I also wanted to rent an SUV, but instead, I was forced to rent a sedan, and I feel like I was overcharged for what I was given. The lady was also rude, and she acted like she hated her job. I'm not impressed at all.

I filled the rental car up with gas less then 1/4 mile from the rental office. When i turned the car in i was charged a fuel sur charge of 9.99 a gallon. And they said it needed 16.60$ in fuel to make it a full tank. I even showed her the gas receipt. I do not recomend budget. I feel as i was ripped off.
