My partner and I recently rented a car for one day. We picked up and dropped off on time without incident. (Well, besides the MASSIVE delay to get the paperwork done and the car delivered out to us, which is always the case with this place.)nnWhen the charge came through, it was over three times higher than expected. We'd been charged for a three-day rental plus late fees!! My partner disputed the transaction with the card company, and was told that Dollar said we returned the car two days late. !!! We asked that they speak to Dollar again, because this was not true. We had no way to prove it, unless they were to look at security camera footage of us returning the car, which we of course didn't have access to. It was their word against ours. And they wouldn't budge - the charge remained, and we paid three days for a one-day rental because Dollar lied to the credit card company.nnI would recommend never renting from this place, unless you want it to be their word against yours as to whether the car was actually returned.

Did an early morning pickup, an hour after they opened. There was one employee in a small booth next to a parking garage.nnI had already prepaid a reservation via Expedia...nNo issues with processing or surprises.nnCar seems fine with a few minor scratches but no damage, seems clean enough to me.nnLocation is very close to the exit of Battery Tunnel, very easy to reach from my neighborhood south of Prospect Park via Lyft (20 mins! Light traffic on a Wed 8am morning). Prices were so reasonable relative to other rental options in Brooklyn for a last-minute rental during a busy period (near Easter / Passover) I might do this again.

I waited outside the shop for 5 min and I could see the employee behind the counter talking to his friend inside. Waited, and waited and nobody attended to me so I thought maybe he didn’t see me. I opened the door for him to scream WAIT OUTSIDE.nnWell, you have no signs to help me know what to do, you didn’t even bother making eye contact and when I open the door you didn’t have the courtesy to ask me to wait outside politely.nnIn covid19 times, I understand why the employee doesn’t want me in. Believe me, I don’t want to be with them in enclosed spaces either but I can’t give you the benefit of the doubt for being rude.
