I've rented here a few times, never had any issues. Made reservations for the weekend, called a few times to check on some questions that I had and was told my vehicle would be there to rent and they were having some late returns so to come a little later. I get there, no cars..and no idea when they would get any..nWhat's the point of a reservation if they don't have the cars??nThey could've had the decency to contact me before I made such a long drive there.

From the time I got on the shuttle at the airport to when I turned in my car at their site, I was totally served with care. The process to get my car was smooth and I was upgraded to a much more fun car. Returning my car was also easy and the shuttle driver got my very heavy bag out the trunk for me. I would definitely recommend them.

Do Not Book at the Dollar/Thrifty in the Greenville, SC airport. I reserved an SUV on Feb 16 for pickup on Feb 22. Got to the counter at 8pm and was denied the rental due to a scratch on the back of my driver's license - yes, a scratch. They refused my valid driver's license, my military ID and the shuttle driver's recognition of me (we have rented there several times when visiting family). I looked at the driver's license requirements on their website and a valid license, a military ID, a temporary license and even a traffic citation issued license is fine ... obviously a scratch is not acceptable. I thought I would be stranded because none of the other rental companies had any cars left. Then, Budget helped out with the only vehicle they had - a just returned minivan and lo and behold, my license was fine. BTW, it was also fine to fly. Dollar/Thrifty lost a frequent customer - Budget earned a thankful, loyal customer. Do yourself a favor - do not trust a reservation with Dollar/Thrifty and maybe take a look at your license =(

Decent prices and the SUV was great. I called and told them I was going to be a couple of hours late and they said that was fine. When I got there under 2 hours late, they charged me for the extra day. Wondering why that wasn't disclosed to me over the phone.

Be cautious when renting from Thifty/Dollar rental. The initial booking reservations and picking up car went decently well. They only had one person working front counter so by the time we left, there were 5-6 people waiting in line. We got a brand new Dodge Charger so that was fun, if you are into that. The problems arose after calling to extend rental date. The next day I received an email that rental was due back was now considered late. I contacted ASAP and Tim states he had no record of us calling to extend rental. He even questioned the authenticity of our receipt. Very strange. After some back and forth, we did receive a credit. Just save yourself the confusion and frustration and book with a more reputable company.
