No issues with the rental or charges. Only issue was the parking lot being horrible when picking up the car and that my husband had to be the one to clean it off so I could take it. Everywhere else has always had the car ready for you when you get there. Also your parking lot should always be safe for customers to walk through no excuse.

The vehicle was absolutely filthy inside, the front counter clerk told us that he could not apply my military discount and I should have done it on my reservation, when I told him that I tried but it would not give me the code, he told me there was nothing he could do. I asked him about returning it a couple hours late because the return time was noon and I wasn't sure if I would be back in time and he told me that was fine, just call and let them know and it was a 15$ fee so it wasn't that bad. When I called to let them know I would be returning a couple hours late, I was told that it was the 15$ fee plus hourly rates and that two hours was a little less than a full days rental, last time I checked there were 24 hours in a day and 2 hours was no where near a full day. I returned it back on time... The vehicle was a little over 60$ more than Enterprise for the same Suburban but they did not have one available. I chose to go with Avis because they had the large vehicle that I needed, however given this experience, I do not plan on using them anymore nor will I recommend them. I travel a lot for work and often need to rent a vehicle, if this is how Avis treats their customers, I will stick with Enterprise from now on.

TLDR: Brian at Avis went above and beyond for me. Amazing customer service and a wonderful person.nnToday I was rear-ended in a hit and run on the way to a funeral on Christmas Eve. My insurance company arranged a rental through Enterprise. They were out of cars and made no effort to help. I eventually found a rental at Avis but when I was checking in I had an issue with my debit card. Brian worked with my insurance company and went the extra mile to ensure that I got into a vehicle today. Enterprise essentially told me to kick rocks. Avis has a customer for life through me now.

When we arrived we were placed in an upgrade at no charge. The vehicle was wonderful!! Very clean and handled like a dream. We took it up pikes peak and through a high winds and dust storm. No complaints. The Volkswagen Atlas is an excellent car!!! The customer service at Avis was excellent and we will definitely use them again.
