Do Not Rent from Dollar Rental Car! Even if you prepay and have express account, you will wait one and half hours in line and then another hour to maybe get your car. They will take your money and not give you a car.nnAll other companies at Atlanta Airport have minimal lines and much better service for similar rates.

Absolutely worst most horrible experience ever. I paid thru dollar.com for the entire rental cost except taxes in their “pay now” rate. I received a confirmation number. Showed up at the counter and was told I was on a “do not rent list”. No explanation no discussion. It ended up being for something from 2014 that I’ve never been contacted about. Left me stranded and wanted to charge us double for the rental. Worst costumer service ever. You will be stranded. While I was in line out of 11 people, 4 had the same problem. Last behind counter even said that it was “ probably because of my attitude” that I couldn’t rent.

After a nightmare experience with budget, I am so glad dollar was there. I was nearly in tears because budget treated me terrible & I had no way of getting home to Nashville. I was in and out within a couple of minutes. The guy working the counter was so easy going and nice, he helped take so much weight off my shoulders. I will always rent with them now. Plus they let you rent with a debit card which is truly a lifesaver.

After waiting in line for almost 3hrs the car we received was not very clean, had burn holes in the seats and patches of paint missing from several spots around the outside of the car. I asked for a car seat for my 3yr old and was given an infant seat. After taking that 1st back I was given a slightly bigger seat but still not an age appropriate seat and told that was all they had. Then after being told to leave the keys in the car by the garage representative I somehow have a $400 key charge and no way to get in touch with the actual branch. When you call they just give you the 866# that can be found online. Absolute horrible experience and I’ll definitely not be renting from them again!!! I’ve emailed customer relations to try to get my problem resolved

We arrived at the Atlanta airport with reservations for a car that had been made the week before our trip. We found 35 people in line with only 2, sometimes 3 employees working the counters for both Dollar/Thrifty, where 8 stations were available. It took two hours of waiting in line to reach the counter. Just before I reached the counter one of the clerks made an announcement that anyone who had made their reservation the same day would NOT be able to rent a car. Clearly whoever is responsible for matching the number of drivers with their reservation is doing a very poor job. And whoever is responsible for scheduling Dollar/Thrifty employees to work the counters and matching that with the scheduled reservations is also failing.nI will avoid Dollar/Thrifty in Atlanta in the future.
