ACE Rent A Car

I would absolutely give 0 stars.nBack in Feb we did a 3 day rental from Ace. After we went down stairs to get our car we had to wait almost a half hour for a person to come to the rental stand, he apologized for making us wait as he was at the car wash. He was very nice and said we if we returned the car back at 12:40 there would b no additional charge. Since we knew we had until 12:40 per the employee of Ace, we returned the car at 12:25, again no body was at the stand so we waited 10 minutes and checked in at 12:35. We should not be charged an extra hour as we were not late. I tried to explain this to the man at the counter named Shaw who said he was the mgr. and he would not listen to us and charged us an additional 45.00 anyway which is terrible customer service. I have made several calls and sent emails with pictures showing the exact time we left with the car and still no response. This place is an absolute rip off, 45.00 is not a lot of money but, when a business tells a customer something, they should stand behind their word. We are very disappointed in their lack of customer service and still very aggravated we have not been refunded the extra hour that we were not late. Rental agreement#89491

In June 2020, I rented a vehicle from this establishment for a 2 day visit to Atlanta. While parked in the garage of the Georgia Aquarium, the vehicle was damaged in a hit & run incident. Security cameras captured the responsible individual, and a police report was generated. I had my own auto insurance policy along with another for the rental. However, upon returning the vehicle, I was told that I needed to pay a $1000 fee until the insurance company processed the claim, and it would then be returned to me.nnWe are now nearing October 2020 and my money has NOT been returned to me despite the claim being processed and damages paid. It was also brought to my attention that the amount of damage reported by Ace Rent-A-Car was greater than what photo evidence showed. This establishment is engaging in unethical business practices, and should not be supported.

Unless you want to be scammed DO NOT book with ACE, especially if you book through a third party. Your final balance will doubled once you return the vehicle. They will even lie at check-in about the fee, but once you check your credit card you will notice the fees that they did not initially charged for. STAY AWAY!!!!!!nnA 1 is too deserving for this company.

It’s not worth it. Over an hour standing in line. Agent led to believe I had to take their Insurance. After I said I had my own, I had to produce documentation showing I had coverage. I’ve never had to do that at other car rental agencies. Car smelled of smoke. Make sure you get the lot attendant to note any issues before leaving the lot if you chose to use Ace.

If I could give this rating no stars I would. I booked my car rental through my travel app that is offered to employees of the airline industry. When I arrived in Atlanta to get my rental I was asked for my round trip itinerary. Working for the airlines you won’t have a confirmed round trip itinerary because we are not allowed to check in until the day before. So I explained this to the front desk agent and she proceeded to tell me this was their policy. I asked why wasn’t this disclosed durning the reservation. She said it is in there policy link to not rent to employee’s of the airlines and people with buddy passes because we don’t have round trip confirmations. At this point I’m very upset because now I have to find another rental at the last minute. I was able to get another rental with a well known company but it’s just the point. Need less to say I don’t think ACE should be listed as an option on our airline site for business. Just like they Make you aware of age and credit card information they should do the same with not renting to airline employees. I have never heard of ACE rental company and from the looks of it they aren’t that getting many reservations as the other known rental car places because no one was in line and they only have a small counter for 1 associate to service the customers. In my opinion I think servicing only round trip customers will be the down fall of this business. Advertising as the cheapest is not always good. You get what you pay for. In my case NOTHING with this company.
