We flew into Atlanta to rent a car and drive to Chattanooga for my stepdaughter's wedding this weekend. It was a horrible experience dealing with Thrifty/Dollar Rental Car!!! They had lines as long as Disney World for people to just check in for their reservation and then after that, you had to wait for several hours to see if you could actually get a car.... There were people sitting all over the floor just waiting to get a car! ud83dude20 We not only booked a car, we prepaid for a car and didn't even get one! ud83eudd2c. We ended up finally getting a car from Hertz after going to numerous other rental counters. But everyone was price gouging because there were way more people than cars available. One company tried to charge us $1000 for a Toyota Camry for just 4 days! There were 6 of us so we ended up paying $1400 for an SUV for 4 days because we had the rehearsal dinner and we couldn't wait. Just terrible!

I waited 3 1/2 hours to get my car. I will never use this company again. What good is your reservation if you wait all day long to get your car. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I felt bad for the 3 employees behind the counter. There really needed to be 6 at least and after you yell at the crowd and say there are no more cars you continue to take customers. Unbelievable. Awful just awful.

Had a good experience. The check-in process was faster than expected and returning the car was simple. Their receipt is a little difficult to understand, especially the miscellaneous section. Other than that, booking with Thrifty was better than I thought it would be, based on how the other customers reviewed them.

dont do it. pay extra to go with another company. booked ahead with thrifty, was charged, and was told they didn’t have the car available and we would have to wait hours. same story for everyone else in line. wish i had read the reviews, seems to be their norm. price is too good to be true. beware.

This business is SO POORLY MANAGED, I rented a large SUV a week in advance, fully paid. I arrived to the airport pick up location in Atlanta at 4.30 pm, as of now when I am writing this review 3.5 hrs have passed and I still don’t have a car.nI have inquired about where am I in the cue and every time I have been lied to, because every time they have said there is one person. In front of you.nI will make sure to enter this review everywhere I can to save people from this insanity. I have done this many time time with other providers and I have never experienced anything like this. WORSE SERVICE EVER.
