I had a horrible experience at this location today . I was told multiple times that I was being put into a vehicle by one of the employees. Sat there for 2 hours to be told “we’ll give you a call in an hour when more cars arrive, the managers are saying people with reservations come first” which I completely understand that. But to have someone stand in the beaming hot sun and constantly being told there gonna be put in a vehicle soon. We have some coming at 12:00. Then when 12:00 comes I’m left standing there with no vehicle. False information was being told my entire experience standing there.
I have absolutely no complaints with the company they were very fair professional and friendly.
By far the worse experience ive ever had after 10+ years of renting cars. Literally was told i had to drive 162 miles back to lake wales to Extend my rental in person couldnt do it over the phone. Within the 24hrs past my return date i recieved 3phone calls to voicemails and a “threatning email” of a corporate call to escalate my situation for not returning the car within 24hrs and because you guys wouldnt extend my rental. I clearly have had a rental since august 15th through yesterday DAILY. NO PROBLEMS in 3-4 different states. I had to take a day off from work to return your vehicle drive 45minutes to orlando JUST TO RENT ANOTHER VEHICLE.. im disgusted and will be looking to change our business acct and other friends business accts to another company.
Overall the experience was ok. The representative that handled the rental was very pushy and not too friendly. She made me feel like I inconvenienced her when I voiced concerns to her about driving a full sized van. I assumed (which is where I made made my mistake) that if I choose the option for them to choose my vehicle at the counter, that I would end up in a compact size vehicle or similar size. When she had the driver pull a full size van out, I panicked. I can not safely drive anything of that size. When I explained to her that I did not want to damage the vehicle, if she didn’t mind transferring the rental to another location, she showed obvious irritation and made remarks about my selecting that option online. I get it but I was polite in asking for something else and she was quick to tell me that I would be taking from another person that had a reservation but would put me in their vehicle. Wow! Not very hospitable or professional at all. After I left the lot, things began moving a little smoother. The vehicle was great, very comfortable. I needed an extra day and the customer service help line handled that smoothly for me. Had the initial rental been a smooth transaction, I would have given 5 stars.
I use to enjoy renting cars from this location which is located off of highway 27 in Lake Wales especially with it being very close to my house but the last 3 times I've went online and booked to get a compact car when I've went there or called prior I've been told that we only have Van's ud83dude90ud83dude8c I'm like if I wanted a van I would've booked one onlineud83eudd37ud83cudfff♂ufe0f. and besides they are not fuel efficient.
