The check in and check out were really problematic. I also called the customer service phone number and spoke to 4 different representatives and I couldn't understand any of them because they were in India and spoke very little English? I asked for a supervisor and she claims she put a notation on my rental account but when I went to turn it in the manager at the Salt Lake City airport location said they aren't authorized to make those promises? It sounds like Dollar needs a good lesson in customer and internal communications! I was even asked to pay extra to correct an error made by your supervisor that messed up my rental agreement in the first place!🤔

Listen to the reviews PLEASE. unless you’re trying to be stressed out when you arrive, don’t get your rental here. i had a reservation two months before that quoted me half the amount they were trying to charge me at the counter. they didn’t have a car for us so they wanted to up charge us for a bigger vehicle, which they should’ve just given to us without upcharging us. i was with two kids under two and had to get an uber.....please save your time and money, it’s not worth it

Did a daily rental at the Salt Lake City airport. Picked the car for a reservation at 10:30 am. Returned the vehicle at 10:44. The agent asked if I wanted the receipt emailed to me. I replied yes thinking all was fine with the check in. Later in the day I get the emailed receipt and Dollar charged me a $12.99 for an additional hour plus taxes and fees onto my rental for dropping the car off 14 minutes after it was due. If they really want to count minutes, how about putting the car in the correct space you say it's in. In my case, they told me and wrote down on the agreement it was in space #556 but it was really in #569. My rental increased by 25% for being 14 minutes late. Tried calling the Dollar manager at the SLC airport and got Steven overseas somewhere that had no clue about the circumstances. First and last time renting from Dollar / Thrifty.

If you enjoy incompetence, this is the place for you!! Came for a ski trip and rented a Van to carry the luggage for 4 and a baby along with ski equipment, baby stroller, etc... If you have children then you understand the hassles of getting all that equipment and trying to get onto a plane. Stayed with family friends and drove the van all of 100 miles for a 3 night stay in the mountains Upon return the worker scanned our vehicle and said we are good and will receive an email receipt. We received a receipt saying we returned the vehicle 6 days later along with a $634.60 charge for more than needed due to them not doing their job. Not to mention the poor attitude for when we arrived. If I could give a rating less than 1 star I would.
