Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I had a wonderful rental experience at the PuntaGorda Enterprise location. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a automobile rental.

The assistant manager Sara was extremely rude over the phone towards me. I received my rental car on empty and my car that is being fixed, which is the reason why I needed the rental, was ready sooner than I expected. Therefore, I still have a half a tank a gas in my rental. I asked her what could be done about it and she told meThey don’t reimburse for gas. So I said OK that’s fine and before I could say thank you and merry Christmas, she hung up on me. I find this to be extremely rude customer service. I called back and spoke to Steve and he was great! He told me that if I rent a car again to let them know about the gas situation and they would work it out. Thanks Steve! Sara shouldn’t be in customer service!

This experience was just off from the start. I did everything right on my part to make it as smooth and quick as possible. I'm an emerald club member, did the precheck in stuff. Had my code ready as I walked in. There were three working. Not one greeted me when I walked in. When I finally got to talk to someone I felt like I wasn't even there half the time. Twice during my check in she answered the phone and stayed on the phone helping the person all the while I'm sitting right in front of her thinking, I'm right here, shouldn't you be helping me? Check in took over a half hour even though I had everything pre filled out and should have just signed and drove.nnOk the car, yes they did give me a Mini Cooper and I thought it was going to be fun. Turned out to be the biggest worry of the trip. So as I have never driven one of these I didn't really know what was supposed to be lit on the dash. I saw the brake lite on as we were leaving so stopped down the road to check that I didn't have the parking brake on. It was not so just continued the hour drive to where we were staying. The next day after I turn the car on, a warning comes on saying there is a problem with the brakes and drive moderately. You have to hit a nob to turn this off and get to the radio. So instead of driving to explore the area, I only used the car when we absolutely had to. We worried when we drove that we wouldn't be able to stop in an emergency.nnWhen I dropped the car back off, again a mess. I stood in the middle of the room without an person saying they will be right with me. After awhile, this lady walked in behind me and the girl at the desk immediately asks if she is dropping off. I actually had to say, I've been standing here this whole time trying to drop the car off. That got her to help me. Wow what horrible service. Now when I got to talk to them. I tell them about the brakes. They tried to sell me this story that they just had the car to a garage and they must have forgotten to reset the light. Now this is total BS, what garage would fix brakes and forget to clear the warning. I told them this much and the fact that when you turn the car on, you have to take a step to clear the message on the screen. Which was done as it wasn't there when we first got in. I got no explanation about this. At this point we had no time and had to get to the airport.nnAvoid this location if you can.

I had to rent from an area away from airport because the air port was completely out of rentals. This was not an issue until I found out after I got home that dropping the rental car off at the airport was really a $200 fee not the $50 fee I was told buy the rental rep I dealt with at the store. I specifically asked him how much it was gonna be and he said $50 to drop at airport then $300 deposit, I would not of done if it was $200. So I get home and a week later I only got $86 back from this $300 deposit plus got charged $50 drop fee that says on my bill. I called the place and the lady said that the drop fee was $200 not the $50 so I got charged $250 to drop off at the airport. She said I would get some sort of refund from this $250 with in 24 hours. It has now been 4 days and nothing. I would never recommend enterprise in Punta Gorda Fl. ever.

Was a great price and conveniently located. Good customer service, we were in and out quickly. Will use this location again
