The Chamber is always trying to help in the community and makes a huge difference for both local businesses and residents of Josephine county. Josie and the team are amazing, and always are there to help when you need it.

Trying to open a meaningful diaolog is easier said than done.

I've lived and shopped in the Grants Pass Downtown Historic District for 2.5 years. Lovely old buildings. Shops and restaurants. However over the last year I have found it increasingly hazardous to walk and shop along 6th St in the day. Teenage boys ride their bikes up and down 6th St on the sidewalk, whizzing past pedestrians. They'll ride in groups and fly along both sides of, well me for one, causing me to freeze and stand still hoping they will pass. I have been subjected to rude and inappropriate references to private female body parts as they pass. When I protested, twice, I was followed and harassed until I reached safety. I'm a 68 year old woman. Minding my own business walking to or from home.nI volunteered several nights a week at the Grants Pass Homeless Warming Center this winter. The homeless folks were polite. However teenage boys on bikes downtown are not. I no longer feel safe walking downtown in the day and I won't be visiting the businesses downtown anymore. The big box stores are safer. I hope the police make an effort to make the sidewalks in downtown Grants Pass safe for shoppers.

The Grants Pass Chamber has always been a great place to connect with other businesses, and to create relationships that lead to further personal and professional opportunities. After almost 20 years as a member, board member, or on almost every committee, I can honestly say that my association with the Chamber is the foundation for my professional and personal relationships here. Chamber works!

The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is staffed with some very savvy and entertaining volunteers! If you find yourself in Southern Oregon, you must make it a point to stop in at the giant CAVEMAN statue near I-5 exit 58 and say hi, pickup some brochures, charge your electric car and enjoy the stories with a cup of hot coffee from one of the local coffee roasters.
