If I could give a rating of MINUS 10,000 stars I would!nUBER DRIVERS BEWARE... Consider other options than renting a vehicle from this location.

I’ve recently had a terrible experience with Avis on Mineral Spring Ave in North Providence RI. I was lied to when I called the counter to tell me I’d be able to rent the car I wanted without a credit card. I then showed up to pick up my rental (which wasn’t even ready) to be told I can’t rent it due to not having an available credit card. I then had to downgrade. When I went to pay with my debit card I was told that my type of debit card wasn’t accepted and I wouldn’t be able to rent this vehicle myself. I then had to put the car under my sisters name who wasn’t even coming on the trip with us and was charged extra as an “added driver”. Returning the car was a nightmare. I tried to fill the tank (it was already basically full) and when I was at the pump it wouldn’t let me fill it the rest of the way. I told this to the woman who I was returning the car to. She then made me go to the gas station with her in the back seat with my child to drive us to the gas station to “prove it”. Already annoyed as id been waiting 20 min to return the car at this point I did as I was told. Once we got back she mentioned that I had some dog hair in the car and that I might be charged upnTo $250 because they don’t allow pets in the car. Before even booking this I called and asked if they allowed pets and I was told yes no problem. I asked her to call me first if this was going to be an issue. So now 2 days go by, no phone call from Avis, and my card is charged $288. No where in my paperwork did it say anything about being charged for having dog hair in the car (it wasn’t excessive). I brought this up when I called the counter yesterday and was basically told tough luck and there’s a stamp on the front of my paperwork. There is NO stamp on the paperwork I was provided, only on their copy. If I had known this I simply would have vacuumed the car myself prior to dropping it off. Not to mention they weren’t following covid guidelines with having too many people in the small office at once, not social distancing, and their employees weren’t wearing masks. When I asked if I should keep my mask on the MANAGER replied, “I don’t care I’m not wearing mine”. I’m very disappointed with this company as a whole. I was going to be in need of renting another car in a couple weeks for another funeral I need to attend but I will not use Avis again. I’d like this resolved and my money back onto my sisters debit card or I’ll be reporting this to BBB and whoever I need in order to get this resolved.

I book for a car ,went there and the lady try to give me a different car than what I booked, I ask why and she try to lie and said the car I originally booked was not in service and it was parked right there.

Place is terrible from the management up. They put me on the DNR list for no reason manager doesnt know why or who did it. The only manager that can do it says he didnt do it. Neither of them has any idea how this happened yet nobody will fix it. The agreement number with the DNR has a missing number on it CLEARLY THEY MESSED UP SOMEWHERE but now i cant rent from Avis or Budget anywhere. Ive lost money on priceline bookings cant take advantage of sales. This location needs to be closed and managers FIRED!!!! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL

Great service all the time. Very helpful if theirs ever an issue. Clean vehicles always. A+ from me.
