Hertz

We rented a car through Expedia from Hertz. It was not big enough unfortunately, but I was luckily in an area where I was able to get one from a competitor. I’m giving this 5 stars because Carrie was extremely empathetic, professional and pleasant. When I reserved a full sized SUV I was expecting an Explorer. The full sized SUV they provided would have been fine if I wasn’t jamming 7 people plus bags in. Thank you to Carrie for trying to help and not losing your cool when I started to freak out! Everything worked out. Would use them again and read the car description better next time.

Picked up a car today. Salesman was rude to my husband as he tried to upgrade to an AWD vehicle because of the weather. Got him into a Jeep which was fine. When I got into the car, it stunk of smoke as if someone had been smoking in it within hours. When I called to complain and ask for something different, he apologized, but until I asked him to swap it he seemed disinclined to do anything. Giving e stars because he did call and find a car at Hertz at the airport. Service and cleanliness was much better at the airport.

We had a family emergency and needed to rent a car for my husband to leave town. Got a good rate online at Hertz so made an online reservation. It's a bit out of the way but I drove him the 40 minutes out to orchard park where they told him they had no car available. No suggestions/solutions.. just sent him on his way. Made a very stressful day even more stressful.

I reserved a car and it was not available at another smaller location. When I complained about paying a higher price 'Damien' accused me of trying to manipulate the situation. Really Damien? I reserved a car that was supposed to be available and it was not. No big deal. Being inflexible about the rate and accusing a Presidents circle member of manipulation is questionable at best. I drove to Orchard Park and got a car but did not have the opportunity to thank Damien personally for the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Would like to give these guys a 10* plus. Fast, friendly and always as accommodating as possible. Cars are always clean and gas tank full. Thank you Hertz of OP you guys are great!
