ACE Rent A Car

So shady. Tried to say my reservation “expired” and I’d need to pay for a larger vehicle. I said no and they suddenly found a smaller car to match my reservation. There’s no info anywhere indicating that you have to call for the shuttle and then when we did it was still quite a wait. The location is pretty far off site and taking my 1yo in a shuttle without a car seat that went onto highways was concerning and unexpected. They try really hard to force you to get their extra insurance. FYI, if you’re an insured driver you do not need this. And last but not least, the car was terrible. Practically held together with glue. One turn signal was out, multiple panels on the vehicle had recently been replaced and there was residue on the seals of the window from having been replaced. It must’ve been an almost totaled vehicle that they slapped back together. Did not feel safe putting my family in it.

Took over 30 minutes to pick us up @ airport ( only running 1 shuttle) and then only 1 individual working the desk who was also managing a different problem outside - his attention was else wear for sure. DO NOT PICK THIS PLACE unless you have time to waste. Very disappointed with the service.

Found them on Kayak on a recent trip to Orlando. Yes, their advertised rates are most competitive, but don't be fooled. I have been waiting over 7 weeks for the $250 deposit I was supposed to get back. Nothing! I have called several times and get the complete run-around. Do yourself a favor and just rent from one of the national firms at the airport. This place is a joke.

My family had a great experience and I would highly recommend ACE Rent a Car in Newark. The airport shuttle was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The office gentleman was fantastic. Very professional yet personable. He was knowledgeable and informative. Upon return it was the same employee. Again, he was a pleasure. Quick and easy getting the car checked in and ushering us to the shuttle. ACE Rent a Car is the absolute best rental car business if you are aware of their policies. Very impressed with this location. I will be back!!!

Never rent from them, and never rent from Priceline. I had a delay and came to Newark airport late and was late for my reservation. They were closed, and they aren’t even with the other rental car agencies. They are off site. I had to rent a car from National and they kept my 370 dollars even though I never used them. Tried to reach their non existent customer service several times. They are shady thieves. I’d give zero stars if possible.
