Hertz

It was a nice experience. The guy (Tierno) who attended me was really professional and polite. The car runs ok and in good conditions.

Called HERTZ on Sunday 09/06 at 10am, letting them know i'd be returning the car a few hours early. The representative stated that was fine, and he updated the system to reflect i'd return the car at 12:30pm as oppose to 4pm...nnDropped the car off. Monday i get a notification that HERTZ was attempting to charge my cc $100. I had no clue as to what the charge was for.nnCalled on tuesday because they tried to charge me AGAIN, that was followed by a voicemail msg telling me i still had the car in my possession so they were charging me. Keep in mind, my flight left that state Sunday at 2:45pm. So i called and spoke with a representative, the lady said the conversation i had on Sunday was NOT EVEN DOCUMENTED!nnShe also explained, they were trying to charge me $100 because the car was not CHECKED IN... When there is a KEY DROP BOX designated for dropping the car off when the office is not open so how dare you guys try to charge me $100 for a car that you didnt see was at the return location or not? Why have the option to drop the car off during NON business hours if that will result in being charged $100 because no one is there to check it in. That was 09/08. today is 09/14 and i have not gotten a call/email or my money back.nnIm currently waiting on hold for 26 minutes to speak with a representative because i have YET to receive my refund for not using the car the entire reservation & i called and spoke with someone whom said i could do so.nnTHE CAR WAS DISGUSTING. I am not over exaggerating by far. I even have videos because i was so surprised they'd rent the car out. the FRONT & BACK seats were covered with filth. I was amazed at the level of filth. The car on the outside was bad as well. It had scratches all over the car, then on the back you can tell the car has been in an accident, the car was kind of EMBARRASSING to drive around.nnI would never use or recommend this company as i am still on hold waiting for a representative so i can get my money back.

I ended up coming here because of a car accident and I needed a rental while my car was being repaired. For some reason, my insurance company was having a hard time relaying all of the right information to Hertz so that I could get the proper rental in time and it was such as hassle. Lucky for me, Theirno Aribot was working the day that I came in and he was such a gem. He was so patient with me, my insurance adjuster and he went above and beyond to help me get my rental. Totally turned my day around. I was very happy to see him again a few days later when I returned my rental. Two points to his coworker Jhonny who was there too, he's a funny guy. Both of these gentlemen made my express with Hertz a great one and I will definitely be returning to them with all of my rental needs!

I picked up the car at 3:30. I stop at my house and by 3:45 the car wouldn’t start. I called Chris who claims to be the manager and he said sorry this isn’t my problem and told me to call road side service. After going back and forth with him, I called roadside and waited for 44 minutes. The woman that I spoke to was such a pleasure to speak with after speaking with Chris.nnAnyway, what was figured out is Chris gave me the wrong key which is why the car wouldn’t start. I had to wait for a tow truck to come pick the car up and a Lyft to come pick me up to take me to the airport.nnChris was by far the most uncaring, worse manager I have ever dealt with in all my life renting cars.nnI’m not going to speak bad about Hertz specifically but until they get rid of Chris and hire a real manager, please stay away from this location. Please! You will thank me later

I had to make a last minute trip and needed to rent a car the night before. This location is small but mighty. Nice and close to Newark Airport (about a 10min drive). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made sure our process went smoothly. Everything was explained well. We were out of there and on the road in about 20 mins. I would definitely recommend Hertz as well as this location.
