Budget Car Rental

The attendant was very knowledgeable about the area and what was needed regarding tolls, the vehicle was clean and drove well.

The rental counter and staff were great to deal with...the ease of getting my rental was fine as well, however the car I received stunk from cigarette smoke. I had to drive with the windows open and heat on full blast to be able to breathe. I was very disappointed as I even upgraded to the car I received, I should have stayed with my original car.

Me and my wife are from Jamaica, we are here in Maine because my wife is a registered nurse and she took up an assignment in Bangor due to the ongoing pandemic. we have been in the usa for over 2 years now and dealing with the employees at your Bangor international airport was the first time I feel personally attack by someone I have never met before. I'm not playing the race card,but I can't help but think that his attitude towards me was because of my difference in skin tone. After leaving the office feeling that my experience wasn't a good one and that the employee was trying to be as difficult as possible, my wife showed me where that employee duplicated and make approximately 5 additional charges to my credit card for no reason. The entire cost was supposed to be $707 and I'm seeing over $2,000 been taken from my account.

We did not have a non-debit credit card when we reached our destination and expected a huge hassle, as we had previously experienced at another car rental vendor. We were SO relieved when the agent in Bangor had a very simple and quick workaround that made us feel respected and had us on our way in no time at all! Our car was perfect and the return at the end of our trip was the fastest and easiest EVER. We will DEFINITELY use Budget every time we travel to Maine in the future
