In general, still very happy with service provided by National Car Rental. During my recent rental at CVG, the van to and from the drop off points had no waiting and the gentleman driver for my return to the terminal was very congenial and helps with bags. The only snag, all of the vehicles in the Emerald aisle were mini vans except for 1 pickup. I tried to access several vehicles but found them locked. When I did find an unlocked vehicle and got my bags loaded, the key wasn’t in the car. So I ventured inside the office. The gentleman at the National counter apologized for the inconvenience and in searching for the key advised that rather than delay me searching for the key, he had a key for a Volvo at hand and provided that as a rental so I could get in my way. I’m pretty sure this was an upgrade since I hadn’t ever rented a Volvo before in my travels. It was a great car and I enjoyed driving it very much. So, where this review could have easily been only 3 stars, I gave it 5 thanks to the young gentleman with dark hair at the counter that was very helpful and considerate of my time, getting me on the road with a smile instead of a frown. I’m so sorry I didn’t think to get his name at the time. Perhaps he will see this and know he was able to keep a National customer satisfied.

Overall great experience. Friendly staff on the lot and driving the Vans. The car interior was clean. Only complaint, I would have expected the steering wheel to be cleaned more thoroughly with both a front and back wipe down. Good idea to bring your own disinfectant wipes for extra cleaning.

I was stranded at the terminal with no shuttle service to rental location although i was promised i would have a ride to the rental location even after hours by National. Honestly, being very generous with my 1 star. First time experiencing something like this with National.

I had a reservation 2 days prior to pick up a full size car and when I got there they only had 12 passengers vans ud83dude43 ud83dude11 ud83dude10!! REALLY

As always it was nice to walk up to the executive parking area and choose the car that fit my needs for this trip. I chose a minivan since I had to pickup a few different people.nnThe vehicle was clean, had a full tank and was ready for the trip.nnCheckout was even smoother and only took 3 minutes at the exit gate. I didn’t even have to go to the counter inside the building.nnJulian
