Budget Car Rental

Most horrible experience ever. A earlier rental fell through so I start searching and budget was the only place open until 1 and it was about 12:25. I call the 1800 reservation # and spoke to a man who said they had a mid size car and suv so he got us a pretty good deal on the suv, took our info and assured us they had the vehicles. As soon as we hang up the phone rings and it's the lady running the location and she tells us she doesn't have anything to rent us So when I tell her we just confirmed they did numerous times she goes to the excuse of well our system shuts down at 1 and we can't do anything plus I have reports I have to do so I don't take rentals after 12:30. I asked why their business hours say 1 instead of 12:30 then so she tells me if I can make it in 3 minutes shell help us so I make it there by 12:45 and she is even more rude she insinuated she doesn't think our credit check will pass then runs our debit card and immediately says it's declined and I know for a fact that was incorrect and verified with my bank when she informed us we had to leave and she couldn't help us. So as I'm sitting in front of the building I noticed the door open and out she comes 1:01 on the dot and get in her car and leaves ( so much for report having to be ran) it's pretty evident she didn't want to do any more work and the fact that she'd turn away Myself, my wife and our 2, 3 and 5 year old children knowing there was no other options and we were about 50 miles from home tells you just what kind of person is running the show.

Worst experience. Booked a reservation online and got a confirmation email. Went in to pick up the car and the lady said the deposit went up from $100 to $250. I didn’t have enough money on the card that I prepaid with tried using a different card but she could not do that either. She ended up not even having any vehicles available at all even though I had a reservation and confirmation email. By far the worst car rental experience, DO NOT GO HERE.

It was great. Everything went as planned. The in house representative was grea . She was very informed and knowledgeable.

My 2 main issue with Budget are on one rental i was given a car with an expired tag and when I returned to get a new vehicle the counter person was very rude and acted like the expired tag was my fault that it was an inconvenience to provide me with a car with a current tag. On my most recent rental I was charged $180 (for 14 gallons) for fuel charges. I filled up the car before I dropped it off, left the fuel receipt in the car, contacted the customer service and even provided proof of the charge to my bank account. I highly recommend that no one ever rent from this horrible company.

I’ve been to this location twice in the last six months and BOTH times have been helped by the same woman, who was clearly not “just having a bad day” the first time. Customer service is a skill, and she’s severely lacking. The Edmond location is very friendly, but didn’t have the car I needed for the dates I needed it. It really is unfortunate that I had to go to this location.
