Enterprise Rent-A-Car

My husband rented a car and was not informed he could not smoke in it. They charged him a 100$, he left a really expensive tow rope in the back. We called that day they said. They had it we returned within 48 hours and it was lost! No explanation where it went. We all know an employee stole it. It couldn't walk away by itself.

Very disappointing! Called yesterday to line up a car to be delivered today. I was told it would be here at 10am. At 11:30am I hadn’t heard or seen anyone. I called back and was told I’d hear something in “a couple minutes.” Nothing. So I left work to go to the office and it’s closed. Terrible customer service!

**THIS REVIEW IS WORTH READING BEFORE SPENDING TIME OR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION/FRANCHISE**nnI wouldn’t leave one star if it wasn’t required to leave this review. We rented a car online yesterday, in anticipation of a road trip today. The plan was to rent this vehicle (Lois Lane location) and return at Clayton, NC location (an hour from pickup location but closer to home).nThis morning we make our 1-hour one-way trip to the pick up location (Lois Ln) and within view of the location, a male named “Drew” called to let us know this vehicle isn’t available “for one way trips”. We then explained that was fine we had no issue returning to the pick-up location (Lois Lane). Drew then changed the story to “No vehicles were available”. Not sure I trust the integrity (or lack thereof) when the story was changed multiple times regarding our reservation. If a vehicle “isn’t available”, why wouldn’t someone say THAT instead of stating it’s “not available for one way trips” then change the story when we assure we can return it to the pickup location. And that was just one excuse Drew gave. Need it returned at THIS location, okay-we’ll return it to THIS location, no problem. Keep in mind we remained pleasant because simply put, we just needed a vehicle. Any excuse Drew made, we were eager to oblige with a resolution, only to find he had multiple excuses readily available in his verbal arsenal of lies. The issue is, every single excuse came off insincere and simply…dishonest. All of them can’t be true obviously. That’s just logic.nnMore so than the waste of our time with the reservation number on-hand was Drew’s attitude problem. He was nasty throughout the phone calls (“call(s)” because he kept hanging up on us), I could hear him from my passenger seat. He hung up three different times during the calls… at this point.nnI then called him (Drew) myself (from MY cell) in which he answered and after greeting me with his name (Drew) I asked if he was the one whom had spoken to *******, he then hung up on me as well. I called back and he answered again, stating he was Drew (again), I asked “why do you keep hanging up on us?” He lied by attempting to say he was not hanging up…and went as far to say that was the first time he had answered the phone today. I then immediately stated that was untrue because this was the second call I personally made within 30 seconds and he answered using his name both times. Then DREW volunteered he was in fact the one (which we obviously knew) whom had spoken and been rude to ******** and hung up on HIM 3 times prior. I then asked him why the attitude, He then made more excuses. I asked if there were ANY vehicles available, in which he said no.. though I could see the very one we reserved in the parking lot, with many other vehicles, which some also stated “available” online. ud83eudd37ud83cudffb‍♀ufe0fnnDrew’s attitude remained unprofessional and rude the entire conversation (with both myself and the other individual). At that point I informed Drew that I’d be leaving this review.nnYOU DON’T HAVE TO BE FRIENDLY, BUT AT LEAST BE PROFESSIONAL, DREW WAS NOT!! Drew was nasty and lacks customer service. I’ll drive my personal car before I ever spend a dime with this location again, or this entire franchise. That’s how ridiculous and unnecessary the experience was. Between the lack of customer service, lies, and flat out rude and nasty behavior and attitude of Drew. “Customer service” is a FAR stretch from what this location offers!nn[FYI-Enterprise: you’re only as strong as your weakest link, in this case-your worst employee.]

I've rented here half dozen times (twice since Covid) and always it's been a good experience. My latest Covid car was cleaner than usual (except the windshield which ALWAYS seems to need to be cleaned from any rental agency I've ever used) and smelled good; convertible 4cyl turbo Mustang

Always a great place to get a good car!!
