Enterprise Rent-A-Car

My past rental were flawless at the Ladue site, this time was poorly staffed for this Sunday afternoon. There was only one person working check in, which was a full house when i got there. One person to take renters out to walk around to check the rental and one person 'cleaning' the vehicles. I arrived on time for my check in (1PM), however I was not completed until close to 3PM. The first car assigned to me was given to someone else, the second smelled heavily of smoke, the seat adjuster was completely broken and the windshield wiper blade was coming off. I seriously thought that vehicle belonged to one of your employees. It took another 40min of waiting outside before a properly cleaned and acceptable car was brought out for me. Although I did have a reservation and an appointed check in time, the class of vehicle was not available, I received a lower class and although promised the rate-for-class, that credit was not given. The return on the following Sunday seemed -staff wise and full lobby- to mimic the previous. I simply turned in the keys. I will rent again, but will avoid Sundays if possible. Thank you.

I was to pick my rental up per agreement at 1:30pm. When I arrived 10 min early I was told they didn't have an SUV as I had contracted for... they did have 2 that were in need of an oil change and that it would be about a half hour. 45 min later I asked where is my car... I was told it would be another 30 min. I was very angry and said do you have any car.... could they upgrade for my trouble and delay. Well they could downgrade which they did to a small Forte. A company that cannot honor it's commitments to their clients is not a company one should do business with... I won't anymore!

Busy spot but no lake of hustle on part of courteous staff.

The sales associates were very helpful and friendly.nnHowever the cars I rented from here were not good. I waited for over an hour to get a car for my insurance claim. The first Chevy Malibu I rented, the only car they had, reeked of cigarette smoke. My passenger had to leave the windows down and air on to try to get the smell to go away but it never did. There was a nail in one of the tires but the info system indicated the wrong tire (said front left was low but was really rear left). I called 2 separate locations closer to my house and the one I went to (Market St) said they would take care of it. They said they added air to the tire but I had to tell them no, there's a nail in it and it was just going to go flat again. They told me they couldn't do anything about it and told me to call Ladue Rd to see if they had any replacement vehicles (they wouldn't reserve for me, I had to call myself).nnWhen I went back to Ladue Rd they switched it out for the only car they had available, a Hyundai Elantra, which also reeked of cigarette smoke. 5 days later the car won't start and I'm stranded at work at 1am.nnBoth vehicles started with a half full gas tank and I had to specifically ask whether I needed to fill up the tank or leave it empty or return at the same level. The cleaning process send rushed, the first car was barely clean on the outside (not a big deal) and the 2nd car had French fries embedded in the center consolennI don't know if all Enterprises are like this but I definitely have not had a good experience here and would not recommend renting a car from this location. Hopefully other locations or companies have cleaner more reliable vehicles

They had a good choice of cars, additionally the process was simple and fast. Would recommend.
