Hertz

I'm giving Hertz a 3 star only because I have rented cars all over the world. I'm dropping off my rental in Hammond LA on a Saturday as the contract states. On the door, it says 9 to noon. This place is closed. Not only that, there is not a drop box. (what type of hillbilly is that?) These people want me to drop this car off in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. No! My contract says 24 hour rental and drop location in Hammond. I did my part. This car is in the exact condition as rented in and is at the agreed upon location and the time the contracts states. Not my problem!

Would not rent car to me. I am a authorized user on my spouses card. Would not rent me car due to card not on my name. Would not take cash either. Guy at office was very rude and freaked out over me not wearing a mask. I have a Dr's. Authorized excuse due to asthma. Never will I rent a car from Hertz. I was treated like I was a criminal.

I attempted to rent car 6/12 prepaid the whole amount on website. Arrive at location and am told they don’t take debit cards. The rep there said and you have to call 1-800 number to get money back. I call 800 number 6/12 and am told 7-10 days. 6/26 still no refund call 800 number again this time I get a ref number and told a supervisor will sign and refund in 3 days. 7/2 still no refund call 800 number they see where supervisor signed but it takes 7-10 days don’t know why I was told 3 days. Horrible horrible business for a huge corporate company. Did request a manager to call and was told I’ll try and get one to call you. By the way after leaving here 6/12 went straight to enterprise and rented a vehicle in 10 minutes when I returned the vehicle my $209 deposit was back in my acct. the next day

The rep that is in the Hammond office has a nasty attitude and when I was asking about renting a vehicle he got judgy and snarky all because I don’t own a credit card. I will not recommend this company to ANYONE!!
