Hertz Rent A Car

Customer service is deplorable. The young woman who we spoke with on the phone yesterday left the office ten minutes early, but not after hiding behind a partition, and sending a coworker to explain that it takes 15 minutes for her system to reboot and she had already logged out for the day. She walked past us after the conversation with her eyes averted. The following day we had to return, because we still needed a rental nad this same woman was still less than helpful. Because of the pandemic, customers are asked to wait outside and be serviced outside. She gave us no idea how long we would be waiting, she communicated only enough to to get the materials she needed to put us in the system but she didn't allow us to ask questions and quickly closed the door. If she has been here longer than a year, it's no reason the Google rating for this place is 2.7 stars. We will not be using Hertz Farmville again, and if this woman keeps this same attitude towards customer service, the business won't have to worry about bad reviews much longer since they won't stay in operation.

Owner was nice in the beginning, they came to pick us up (that was Wednesday,). Had to keep the car over the weekend, he said that was fine he would just extend the rental. Called Monday to say my car wouldn't be ready until 5pm again no problem, they would be there until 5:45pm. When we got there at 5:30, his 16 old son serviced us. Looking at the bill there were changes fo being 3days late and coming after hours. The son couldn't help with that. Call on Tuesday, owner states he could have charge $50 for picking us up, said he was busy and hangup. They had $300 dollars on hold for car (with was not in the best of shape but all they had). My actual bill was $255. He would not speak to me. Had to call corporate office to get this resolved. Never will use them again I would walk.

I am a sales rep and was in town on business when my car broke down. The parts would not be in until the next day. I would’ve been stuck in a hotel for 36 hours if it wasn’t for these guys. They were amazing! They drove me to the Toyota dealership helped me transfer my samples to the rental car and get back on the road. Thanks for your great service!

I didn't even want to give one star. Farmsville VA location is AWFUL . The old man who answered the phone was RUDE. Customer service SUCKS!!! Will never deal with this company again because of that experience!!
