Hertz

I was told a rental would be 25 and change per day. The man was so fast talking I didn't even have time to read over what I was signing. So hertz had me unknowingly sign on for something a complete package for 442$$$. I was never told that. My insurance on my own vehicle doesn't even come close to that. Seriously they need to explain more what you're signing up for. A total ripoff. I would've never ever rented from hertz.

Yesterday I booked a car online in Worcester and It asked me for a date, time and location and gave me choices. I chose a FULL size car. Upon arriving at the location I was told that they had NO cars available. I was advised to go to the Auburn location. I was given a Ford Feista (basically a motorized roller skate), it was all that was available on the lot other than a minivan. Since my SUV transmission had died and I was dropped off I had no choice but to take it but was told I could swap it out. Today I called (5) locations, (3) of them 40 minutes from me and not one of them had a larger car available, some had none at all. If you are asked to select a date, time and location during booking the options given should populate based on what is ACTUALLY available. We can barely fit (2) suitcases in the trunk let alone there is absolutely no leg room for passengers in the back seat. The driver seat almost touches the backseat. Beyond annoyed and my stress level is through the roof. So its stressful enough having your car die right before you are headed on an vacation and will need to buy a new one when you return. We leave tomorrow mid-morning now we have to modify our plans to fit the car.

Our experience was awful.nn1. They had double booked the truck I reserved.n2. When they called they couldn't reach me and then never called a 2nd time, left a voice mail, or texted me to notify me.n3. The cancellation fee was also $150 or $200 depending on how I canceled the reservation.nnI was not impressed. Renters on Turo do a better job than this.

Rented a SUV at Auburn Hertz in mid-July. I was very disappointed by the inability to answer phone calls on site. The vehicle they rented to me was filthy, covered in mud, scratches on the exterior, and dog hair and drool on the interior. The workers I worked with were pleasant but clearly over worked. Just be careful out there, businesses aren’t being as proactive towards the pandemic as they claim. I honestly would choose another branch of Hertz if you’re set on that company.
