I don't know if anyone saw the posts from the tourist last night named Deanna Temple but she is planning to visit Ketchikan on the 3rd of July. She admitted that she had gotten tested for covid-19 LAST WEEK and admittedly her test results did come up negative according to her but the covid-19 mandate states that anyone arriving in Ketchikan must be tested for the virus and anyone tested is expected to self quarantine until the test results come back. Deanna Temple per her own statements plans to rent a car and travel the island instead of quarantining herself which is in clear violation of the covid-19 health mandate. The mandate states that you are only exempt from testing and or quarantine if the test was performed within the last 72 hours before traveling so this woman and her family could potentially infect hundreds of people being that she was tested 3 days ago on the 28th of June. She stated her disregard for our safety and the quarantine rules very clearly in a post here last night. Several people spoke out against her plans and were only met with deleted posts and harassment. She asked locals for ideas of places to go and things to see while she and her family are in Ketchikan because they are arriving on the 3rd and leaving on the 6th of July but even if she and her family are tested as soon as they arrive they would not receive their test results for 3-5 days later by which time they would be gone. Alaska and Ketchikan in particular have had the lowest infection rates on the planet because we have been careful. The covid-19 mandates were put in place to protect us. Cruise travel was banned to Alaskan ports to protect us. Airline passengers are required to undergo testing and self quarantine to protect us. I implore anyone reading this message to stand up to these people who seek to hurt us even if it means standing up to our fellow citizens of Ketchikan. Please do not welcome these tourists into our town who have a blatant disregard for their fellow humans. I have already contacted the TSA at the airport as well as the state and local police. I urge anyone reading this post right now to do the right thing and join me in the defense of our community. I beg you to rise up and join me as our lives literally depend on all of us cooperating to stop this threat. Not just for ourselves not for Ketchikan not for Alaska but for all mankind....

I booked renting a car here today at noon because thats the only time this owner said he could meet me. I just flew into Ketchikan from Anchorage to spend a couple days with my son, today is his birthday. It’s been raining most the day and I really wanted to do some sightseeing enjoy his birthday together.nThe owner of this car rental did not show up at noon, he did not call me and he did not answer my call again.nIt was very disappointing after flying from anchorage and depending on renting a car from this company only to waist my sons birthday waiting on him.nAt least he could’ve done was called and canceled instead of having to stand around for almost 2 hours now.nHe deserves -10.... ud83dude21

This place is not ready for prime time... makes locally owned business look bad.
