Budget Car Rental

Had rented the full sized car, and when I got to Dayton Airport they had upgraded me to a Jeep Cherokee which I did not want. I was driving to visit my 90 year old mother so the individual behind the counter change the cars back to what I originally requested. They understood my needs and we're more than happy to make sure that my satisfaction was met. The only issue that I had with the Dayton Ohio Budget rental car return is that there is no box to drop off your keys if you return it before anybody is there. I ended up leaving the key on the desk in the main office but then I did get a text message and an email that my rental return was completed.

I returned the car with a full tank of gas. I filled up at a station near my hotel then drove 15 miles to the airport. The gas gage clearly showed the tank well beyond full when dropped off. My receipt shows Joyce checked the car in. I was charged an additional $19.10 for the gas. You just lost a customer forever over $19.10. Well done!nnFollow up: The $19.10 was subsequently refunded to my credit card.

The service rep that assisted me when I picked up my vehicle was very fast and friendly. The car was clean and ready to go. I would have given 5 stars but the car is supposed to be non smoking and smelled, faintly, of cigarette smoke even after the cleaning. And, I don't like the 15.75 (flat fee) charge if I drive more than 74 miles per day, average.

We rented a luxury car from budget and the day of the rental they told us they did not have the car we requested. The check counter staff were extremely rude and said they never have luxury cars because it was Dayton. I asked why it was advertised and the lady said it wasn’t her job to know. We checked the car and it had not been cleaned and had left over food under the seat. I asked the guy if we could have a clean car and said that was the only car available. I called the website and They told us they would take 30 dollars off for the inconvenience. When we dropped off the car they explained since it was an hour late it was going to be an additional 120.00. I’m surprised they can hold business because it was difficult to deal with them from every angel. I’m pretty frustrated and personally won’t use them again. Honestly I have never had a problem with enterprise and I’d recommend to go there and if you are looking for a cheaper rental try thrifty or dollar saver. It is very unprofessional and I’m honest to god surprised they are in business. Hope the review helps prevent the headache we had.nUpdate- having unauthorized charges a week later- from Budget. Called customer service and cannot explain the charges, stated will provide money back for charges. I had to cancel my credit card.

The clerk was very rude and unprofessional. My mom rented a car from Budget through Priceline. Budget's card readers had not been updated and could not read the chip in her card; according to a manager she spoke with over the phone. She tried to pay $250 cash, but the clerk said they couldn't take cash. I tried to use my card and the clerk said he couldn't accept my card for the deposit because I didn't make the Priceline reservation. I asked for his name and to speak with a manager and he informed me that I wasn't his customer and my mom would have to ask for his name and to speak with a manager. He needs to be trained in customer service and how not to be rude and confrontational.
