Avis Car Rental

It honestly grieves me to give a one star for any Avis location but this one has to be the worst I've ever delt with. I've been Avis Preferred for a long time and Avis has always been spot on, above and beyond. But the Dayton location is somehow consistently an exception. Each and every time, the counter staff are perplexingly over stressed. Every customer standing in line is a total inconvenience and the lot seems to be ever short on vehicles. I have no plans of taking my business elsewhere, but something needs to change at this location.

Being a wizard or preferred member is not cost effective for me. I can not use all my points at once to get the best deal on renting a car. I have been renting a car consistently since August 19th to present. I have spent over 2000.00 on rentals and been able to earn 1000 points and use only 700. I have to spend 4000.00 more just to earn a free day and move up a level. That's a joke I'm looking into becoming a Emerald Club member with National rent a car.

Customer service is proving to be nearly impossible to get on the phone after Avis failed to receive my car rental 13 days ago. I've been receiving automated calls about my perceived late return, with no clear method of how to resolve this issue, or even who to call back to move forward.nnReceiving the car was an okay process, but the return process has soured the overall experience.

Customer service, cleanliness of vehicle, ease of renting as Preferred Member. Thank You!
