Terrible customer service. Their security deposit policy is garbage and not very transparent. Time and money spent better elsewhere!

DONT PAY IN ADVANCE. They gave away the vehicle my parents pre-paid for a month in advance so they could make some extra change since it's spring break, guess they figured they'd NOT ONLY downgrade us but tell us tough luck on getting our money back... but hey well give you the vehicle you don't want a day early or refund you then charge you $200 more since it's the day before you need it... Then get sent to customer service only to be told it's an issue needed to be taken care of online...? Despicable and malicious.

Fantastic customer satisfaction service. I was once given a car with seats smelled cigarette. So when I asked for an exchange as they didn't have any other cars to exchange they refunded back the entire reservation amount at the end. The second time when I booked a compact car again. They recognized me and upgraded my compact car to a full size SUV (Ford Explorer) as a compliment w.r.t the previous bad experience. I really loved their intention of keeping customers happy.

Had an insurance claim from fender bender other insurance was to pay for rental car but hertz keeps trying to charge me they are working the issue but it taken too long
