Avis Car Rental

I returned my rental early because my car was finished at the garage earlier than anticipated. But I still needed to get on the road to go to the city I was having surgery on the next morning. I did not have time to replace the gas. I drove that vehicle fewer than 70 miles, yet the meter showed I used 1/4 of gas. For that outrageous fuel expenditure from a Sentra, I was charged $40. I will never rent from Avis or Budget again.

It was -7 degrees the day I picked up my car and was told to go out to the parking lot to get my car. I had to search for the car in the snow and ice, found it covered in ice and snow. Was given no instructions on how to turn the car on. Had a terrible time trying to figure everything out. No instructions given and was not told that someone could have gone and brought the car up to the entrance. I'm 67 years old and would look d have appreciated assistance. I have never experienced this type of customer service ever with other rental car companies that I have used. I was freezing trying to figure out how to start the car. Then had to wait till the ice melted because there was no ice scrapper. Didnt know any features of the car. Very very unhappy. Told the customer service person at the desk when I dropped it off. Will probably use a different rental car company next time.

For anyone who will use Avis, the scam if you end up been charged for a damage, they will take the money without your authorization, without even bother to send it to your insurance, without even sending you any receipt of what and when they did the repairs?? Total lie and I won’t stop until I tell everyone their scam!!nWorst car rental I ever had!!!!nBe aware please and look for other agencies otherwise you will pay for something that’s not your fault without even sending you what they did!!nI am going to take it to the next level!

The women that assisted in the pickup and return of the rental were very friendly. The man that got the car for me and my elderly mother was very kind and helpful. We appreciated everything!
