Avis Car Rental

MISOGYNIST attendant at this counter-I have encountered the most sexist experience ever at the counter of this Avis Rental car agency recently and if I could give them ZERO STARS I would.nLadies that are traveling alone, I encourage you to avoid this facility to avoid being subjected to rude, obnoxious, sexist behavior.nI was told since my surname on my driver's license didn't match my credit card surname (even though I had documentation to substantiate the differences) that it was against Avis Corporate policy to rent me a vehicle. There were no other rental cars available in a 100 mile radius of this town and I was stranded 2 hours away from home and 1 hour away from where my vehicle broke down and my pets were being kept.nI was told by the attendant to call an Uber.

Service was outstanding the car was perfect the prices are wonderful. Thank you Avis for helping to make our trip so amazing.

I had a horrible and bizarre experience with this Avis location today. I had a car rented until 8 pm on Monday. On Monday, we called this Avis location multiple times between the hours of 6pm and 8pm but nobody ever picked up the phone. We then went to the location on Monday at 8pm but the airport had already closed because of the current winter storm and the doors to the car rental area were closed. The next day, Tuesday, we returned to the airport at 12.05 pm and the doors were still closed; there were no employees there. We continued to make calls throughout the day on Tuesday, even though the airport was officially closed, to see if an employee could confirm that they were open so we could return the vehicle. On Wednesday, we continued to call with no luck - the airport, where the car rental desk is located, was still officially closed. On Thursday morning, I call the location again with no luck. However, I then decide to drive over and see if they're open. An employee by the name of Kyler tells me that he's going to charge us for Tuesday and Wednesday despite the location being physically closed. We try to explain to him that the doors to the car rental area were closed, we were physically unable to get to the drop off box. He claims that they were open. I then proceed to show him the picture of when I came and it clearly shows the empty airport and the closed doors. He says there's nothing he can do but charge us for the days that Avis was closed. He admits, as the manager, that this is horrible customer service but doesn't do anything about the situation. LONG STORY, SHORT: AVOID THIS AVIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. GO WITH ANY OF THE OTHER AVAILABLE COMPANIES. A COUPLE OF EXTRA BUCKS IS WORTH AVOIDING THE HEADACHE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS AVIS LOCATION AND KYLER.

Excellent service, excellent prices and great cars. I would definitely recommend the Avis at Abilene Airport to anyone needing to rent a car.
