Alamo Rent A Car

Alamo Car Rental at the San Antonio airport location had excellent service and a clean vehicle that met expectations. The employee at the desk was assisting multiple car rental companies, but we only had to wait a few minutes to get the vehicle. Then, upon going into the garage for vehicle selection, someone immediately approached us and showed us to our vehicle. The car was in perfect condition. Returning the vehicle was even easier. We pulled in and we’re immediately greeted and checked out. It was a great service experience.

My first negative review EVER! Worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Tried to book online myself it would let me pick every vehicle type for a Saturday pickup but says it had 0 availability for Sunday. Once I put my military discount in the price didn’t go down it went up by almost $200. I thought I was doing something wrong on my end so I call. Got a very friendly agent by the name of Jenny she was shocked and surprised that we couldn’t book on Sunday but she could book for me on Saturday she was also surprised about the military discount that increased the price. She escalated me to a surprise I got the rudest most unprofessional agent that then started telling me I didn’t make sense and there was nothing wrong with the site there was only cars available on Saturday but none on Sunday what was so hard to understand I ask him for his name just to end the call and speak with someone else he gives me the silent treatment and just doesn’t say anything I repeated my question of sir what is your name 3 times he would not say anything. Finally he comes back on the phone and starts telling me I need to be more professional and I must respect him before he respects me he would not let me speak he continued to cut me off and speak to me like a child. I finally ended the call. For all of our business needs we have always rented through Alamo but it is very clear they are tricking customers into renting on a higher priced day and also tricking customers into thinking they are getting a discount when they aren’t. Having to deal with rude unprofessional agents was the final tipping point for me. 0 or negative stars would be my rating

Alamo are always the friendliest company I have rented from... they are my go to car rental company, and it's not necessarily because of the prices... but more about the employees and how professional they are... I have yet to have one problem with Alamo... I hope the employees are well respected within administration, because they are the reason I keep coming back.nAnd its consistent throughout states.nWell done Alamo workers

All foreign licenses… BEWARE!! Worst experience!!nnI arrive to Alamo counter at San Antonio airport, I showed my reservation that I made it through Miles Car Rental and immediately ask for my license and credit card. After I gave the license, he immediately checked an ID Checking guide and told me is not valid according to the book. I explained that my license is permanent, and it doesn’t change, but the answer was the same. I traveled with 3 other persons and we tried with their license, and we got the same answer. If they don’t match the color, they cannot give a car. All 4 license are valid!!!nThey told me they had already the same issue many times before and the answer is always the same… “sorry, I can lose my job or try somewhere else” (they even suggest me Hertz, that’s insane, they prefer to loose customers!!). This is the poorest customer service I ever experienced in my life.nDo not book with Alamo!!

Not too impressed with Alamo. I understand it was a busy weekend, but the only car left in my category looked like someone had brought their own car to the rental place. It was dirty on the inside and had a bunch parts in the bed of the truck.
