Enterprise Rent-A-Car

(Castle)I’m posting from an old account but I could not pass up the opportunity to say how wonderful these people are. Nothing but the best costumer service. I really wish I remembered the mans name that help me and there was a woman I spoke to also. They make it so freaking easy and fast to be in and out. I’ve rented a few times and will be back I’m sure. Thank you all for the excellent customer service.

Reserved a car on 12/29 at Enterprise on Congress Pkwy in Athens,TN. They didn’t have the car I had reserved but a more expensive one instead, we were fine with that. The guy took my payment, then proceeded to tell me about the $200 deposit, I told him that was fine and to please add to credit card. He tells me he has to have a different form of payment for the deposit, odd...and that it had to be a credit card. I called my sister who was willing to give him her credit card info over the phone but he said she would have to be in person, we live 6 hours from this location. I then tried to give him my debt card but he said he couldn’t take because it wasn’t a local zip. What?? I asked why he couldn’t use my credit card, he said well there’s insufficient funds, I KNEW that wasn’t correct but thought maybe that was an issue with cc company. I called cc company, sure enough the funds were there. they said that he did in fact charge the card then put the funds back on the card!! I demand an explanation for this horrible uncalled behavior of this guy. We had to go across the street and rent a U-Haul truck to drive 6 hours home costing us $544. Funny, U-Haul didn’t have problem taking that same credit card. This is totally uncalled for and very discriminatory.

We paid a $300 deposit to be told we would not receive it bc of the detail fee. Of course a car we rented for multiple days will need to be detailed. Very unprofessional.

They were able to arrange a pickup truck rental on very short notice. The truck was perfect and made the moving job fun. I was able to get in and out quickly and without surprises in rental costs.
