The car that we received was awesome and drove great. It was a 2021 Kia Forte with barely any miles on it. Picking up the car was smooth and easy.nnHowever, when we went to return the car, Javier was not very friendly. We arrived at 5:45 for the scheduled return time at 6:00. There was a line with a couple people in front of us waiting. We were not able to actually return the car until 6:10 because of the line, and Javier charged us an additional $53 for returning the car late, even though it seemed obvious that we were there early and waiting in line. We had to call customer service afterwards to get the refund for what we were overcharged.nnEdit: I forgot to mention that Javier also asked us for the pink slip that we were given when we picked up the car. We were not previously told that we needed this slip to return the car (and I've never needed to have this for the dozens of times that I've rented cars in the past), so we did not have it on us. Javier seemed annoyed that we didn't have it, and said that he needed it in order to complete the return. After saying again that we didn't have it with us, he finished the return. Seems like he didn't need it after all.

It was an awful day. Only good part was nobody got hurt. Another driver struck our rental making it no longer safe to drive. Budget made arrangements to have it towed. Told us we would get an Uber to take us to the Homestead location as it was the closest with a similar car. Uber didn't show. Called Budget to see what was going on. They could arrange Uber for some reason so we did out of pocket that Budget said would reimburse. At the Homestead location we were told they couldn't help us as that's a private location. Budget then did arrange a Lyft to take us to the Marathon location. So we've went 45 minutes north, and now have to go about an hour and 45 minutes back south. Passed right where we were hit... Spent almost four hours on the phone with people from Budget. Still haven't clearly ended our contact as I have to return the car - they had towed - to the drop off location... Explained I couldn't return it as it can't be driven and you already had it towed. They still told me I had to return it...

I recommend no one ever go to this place this is the worst place ever to rent a car i rented a vehicle from here like 2 months ago & it was 150.00 to rent for a one way trip & they tooked out 100.00 deposit which was fine they told me when I dropped it off at the other location the 100.00 dollar deposit would go back on to my card which it didn't so I try to dispute it with them & they said they couldn't that I had to dispute it with my bank which I try to do that I open up a claim with my bank & 2 weeks later I called the bank back & they had the nerve to lie to my bank & tell them that that transaction was accurate when I went into the branch they told me that they don't know why it never the money never went back on my card they said if I disputed with my bank when my bank calls them they will tell them that I got overcharge which was a lie they told them the complete opposite so they closed my claim so I went back into the branch & they said they don't know what I'm talking about that I have to contact corporate so basically they rob me for a 100.00 dollars till this day never got my money back!!!!!!!!

I reserved a vehicle online. Pick it up at 4:15pm. When I drove it for about 30 minutes I noticed that the car did not drive properly. The brakes seems to be bad. The right front tire is completely bald and has a small hole on it. I have tried calling since yesterday afternoon. I tried again this morning to be put on hold for over 10 minutes to then be sent to a voice mailbox. Unacceptable car and customer service
