This place is a scam I was charged the same amount in taxes as I paid for the rental, I returned the car with a full tank and they charged me as if I returned it empty, I got the cheapest car possible for four days and it was 639 dollars

My first time at this AVIS location and I had such a great experience. I was running late for my reservation and I called the location to inform them. The woman that answered was understanding and told me not to worry that she’ll wait for me. Once I arrived at the location, I walked in and was greeted immediately. The woman behind the counter (I believe her name is Nellie) was so helpful and professional. Her demeaner put a smile on my face. She was so patient and answered all my questions. She even helped me connect my phone to the car. EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This location will now be my go to location and I will recommend this location to everyone I know.

We visited Avis to rent a car on the 29th of October, which I had reserved over 2 weeks prior. We were on vacation in Miami and had planned to drive to Key West. We only had five nights in Florida so everyday counted. When I had made the reservation I made sure that we didn't need a major credit card, because I don't have one. I was told that we didn't and that it wouldn't be any problem. I called them back two more times before we left on our trip and again, was assured that a major credit card was not necessary. Well, when we got there we were denied a rental, for some reason my credit score was rejected despite having excellent credit! They refused to run it again with different coverage options offered through Avis, or offer help of any kind. Not once in the three calls that I had made to Avis was there ever a mention of running a credit check. I told them that I was going to be paying with a debit card and I didn't have a major credit card. We ended up being at Avis for almost 4 hours with a four hour drive to get to Key West still a head of us. Instead of it being a day on vacation and sight seeing as we had planned, it turned into several long bus rides and extremely stressful! Needless to say, I will never do business with Avis or Budget as they are the same company! Nor will I ever recommend either company to anyone!
