Alamo Rent A Car

It was fast, dont have a lot of choices. Cars are in perfect condition

The cashier was friendly and was not too pushy trying to sell extras. The car had some scratches not on original ticket listing damage when I retrievers but I just told them and everything was fine. Very quick and simple return too.

Just had an awful experience with Alamo.nnI had a flight that arrived in Milwaukee from Vegas late, and usually when you make a reservation through the airline, the counter will know the flight status, and thus extend their hours to accommodate for late-arrivals. Well when I get there, the place is a ghost town. This forced me to either sleep in the terminal, or find a hotel nearby (which I ended up doing but had to stay in the lobby the whole time till 7:00AM CT). Once I finally am able to go rent the car, I’m given an absolutely outrageous price that was WAY higher than the price that I was quoted online, and they didn’t even consider any discounts for dealing with what I had to deal with the previous night AFTER I had let them know what had happened (which BTW I wasn’t alone that night). Car was a good one though (2017 Chevy Cruz), however while in Madison, I had one heck of a goose chase regarding service for the car. I got a flat tire while out there, and the roadside service for Alamo tell me my best option was to take it to an Enterprise counter the next morning, where according to them, they’d take in the car with a bad tire and send me off in a different car. That ended up not being the case at all, as I’m told to go to a nearby Firestone, where they said they can do tire-repairs for rentals. For Alamo, not the case... so they then send me to the Alamo counter at Dane County Regional Airport, where FINALLY I was able to get the car with a bad tire replaced. Took going to 3 different places before finally getting what I needed.nnOnce my rental was complete though, the trouble didn’t end. I later discover that the price WENT UP EVEN FURTHER while I had the car, which BTW I NEVER GOT A RECEIPT FOR, SO I DIDN’T KNOW UNTIL AFTER I GOT BACK HOME. What should’ve been a $600 rental for a week ended up being close to $1000.nnThis company was extremely unprofessional to me, and completely screwed me out of so much of my money, and therefore I will never rent with them again, and I encourage all of you who read this to take your rental business elsewhere.

The vehicle we rented was fantastic and pick up was great. Our flight changed and we had some last minute changes to make - not one employee was compassionate about our needs nor helped in any way, wouldn't even listen to our concerns. In the end - a friend went completely out of his way so we could accommodate Alamo since they wouldn't do a thing to accommodate us.

Be mindful of the mileage caps.
