I make a car reservation and show at the scheduled time, no one at the service counter. There is a sign saying “out servicing a vehicle will be back”. I guess they don’t know or care what appointments are. Employee comes back and I can tell they are not excited about their job. They never answer their phones. I partly blame Avis understaffing this branch. I guess I’ll look at other car rental options in the future.
Overall, the experience was okay. I just didn't like the hours they operated. I got there 8 am in the morning to pick up my rental and waited nearly thirty minutes until the Avis representative arrived. The same thing happened when I had to drop off the car, got there at 6 pm and waited 20 minutes. I had no choice but to return the key to the drop off box because my taxi was waiting outside. It's whatever is convenient for them. Also call them to see what vehicles they have. Their website shows you a variety of vehicles but it's not the case when you go in.
The lady there is not doing her job, they absolutely has stink customer service. They ruin my trip. They already approve me , paid in full ( debit card) of a compact 🚗, then the day of pick up she was asking if I will get another insurance coverage for 12 dollars something , we rented the car for 7 days. Then when I said no, she then search something on her computer and after 2 minutes of browsing she just told us we can't have the car. Because she background check me online and tell me I can't be approved! That's totally a bull***. We're glad we mange to rent a car down in Durango that day. Definitely not recommended .unpleasant experience 👎👎👎👎👎
Budget / Avis is one of the most dishonest rude companies on the planet....They will not have records of your reservation(even with fastbreak), they will be rude about it even when you show them your emailed reservation, then they will overcharge you almost $100 after you return the vehicle. It can't get much worse with Budget's rude customer service. We were told the manager would call us "tomorrow" , "tomorrow" never happened. It was another Budget / Avis lie.
Mr. Govert Strootman should fire the entire staff and quit making excuses for treating customers as badly as they do.
Budget / Avis gave us the run around for months when we presented all the facts and evidence of poor service, wasn't until we retained representation did Budget / Avis do anything right. To little , to late

We rented a car and had an issue with one of the tires having low pressure. It was a long term rental and we came to find out it had a leak. We had to refil the tires twice and saw the notification for low tire pressure on the last leg of the trip so we just decided to switch. We came to this site and the clerk at the desk was just SO RUDE. It was shocking because when we called roadside service everyone had been super nice and helpful but when we got to this location the woman that was helping us was clearly in a bad mood. She was texting when we arrived and seemed annoyed that we even approached the desk. We were shocked at how rude this woman was...she was snarky and cut us off while asking questions, not one single smile, side-eye. Man, I haven't been made to feel so unwelcome in a long time. I hope enough people complain that a manager takes action. This person turned an inconvenience into a full on bad experience.
