The WORST experience with a rental company. First I booked 2 rentals for 2 separate trips. First trip was to Florida, picked up a car in Punta Gorda Airport. Car broke down on us several times. In the meantime we keep calling them and put on hold. Finally someone answers and tell US to get the car to the airport in Ft Myers. Excuse me but this is your car we should have been brought another one being it was Thanksgiving day!!! Second trip which is in January, I got a price and booked it online just to get a phone call 2 weeks later that THEIR computer had a glitch and they WILL NOT honor the price I was given. Our race team here in the Carolinas rent cars and trucks on a weekly basis during race season. But it will not be with Avis/Budget ever again. The sorryest service we have encountered. I will also spread the word throughout our industry how we were treated!!
I was recently stranded in Merrill with my dog, Trigger. I live in NJ and Jen went above and beyond her duty to help me rent a car and get home safely. Jen should be Avis' icon to what 'customer service' truly is. Jen is professional and compassionate towards customers. Thank you, Jen.
It was just a car rental you don't need a 10 point scale
I had just gotten my driver's license renewed and had a temporary paper copy until my new card was mailed. Avis would not accept this because they couldn't stick it into their license reader so I was told I couldn't rent a car even though I had pre-paid and had a valid driver's license. I was told it was an avis policy but was later informed by an avis rep that it is not an avis policy and a vehicle should have been rented to me. I'll never go here again
You just made everything easy. That's why I an Avis Preferred.
