Deceitful!!!! We have traveled and rented cars around the world and never got scammed like with Budget. We were offered an upgrade so we took it as with other car rental agencies they have been free upgrades or told what the price would be for the upgrade. Budget added the charge for an upgrade after we returned the car. We wouldn't have taken the upgrade had we known.

Rented a Nissan Armada, I was looking forward to this because I’ve previously owned a Titan truck. The Armada was awful. Not mechanically, just uncomfortable to drive, the seat wouldn’t adjust and my knees were hitting the dashboard. The steering wheel was either rubbing my legs or at a trucker angle and the running boards were so poorly placed, my foot constantly slipped off and hit me behind my ankle and left a bruise. After 1 day, I couldn’t take it anymore and turned in the truck early. I got a survey from budget and filled it out, negatively remarking about the truck. Hoping that this report would aid in future fleet purchase consideration. This is where the fun began. The rental was prepaid for 2 days. I turned the truck in after 1 day. In response to my negative feedback, they took the amount I was due to be refunded and entered it as an additional charge, then they sent it to their collection department. I’ve dealt with concrete walls that were more agreeable. So I registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I was so tired of dealing with Budget, I no longer wanted the refund and the BBB was able to make this happen and got the matter resolved. This was my experience, use it as you will.

Friendly, helpful staff. It was a very easy process and they upgraded me to an SUV since I was a first-time customer. I would definitely use Budget again!
