Zero stars. Reservation with orbitz confirmed. Hertz called to say my vehicle was not available and put me on a waiting list. Called that morning and was told they had vehicle. Drove across town to get it, when they ring it up it was over double the price! They said they'd redo it but wanted me to sign it anyway and I refused. The rewritten contract was for correct price but was for 1 day not 2. He couldn't figure out how to fix it. While I was waiting for him to figure it out I got an email from hertz confirming my contract and payment at the higher price, which I never signed!!! I told him I didn't trust him at that point and demanded a cancelation receipt, he would only give it scribbled on a piece of paper. Went to enterprise and got a great deal, in and out in 15 minutes. No idea if I'm going to have to fight to get that money back!!
Alex the manager on Odana is the rudest person I have ever met. First he would not let me walk around the car with him to make sure that all the scratches and damages on the car were noted. He was super rude about that also. Then the rental car he gave me smelled like smoke. My son who has asthma even said mommy this car stinks. I went back in and asked if I could have a different car because that won't smell like smoke and it was giving me a headache and my son can't be around smoke. He told me it does not smell like smoke and pretty much I just needed to deal with it. I told him that he had the worst customer service skills and that regardless whether he felt like it smelled like smoke or not I'm the customer. I told him I was going to call and talked to a manager and he said that he was the manager. I called another Hertz and the guy that I talked to told me that they have a lot of complaints about him. Zimbrick when I was getting my car fixed also told me they couldn't stand working with him because he is the rudest person ever. Lucky for me another employee decided to help me and change out the car and he apologized for his manager. The other employee that drove me into get the car also apologized for Alex's actions and told me he knows he was being super inappropriate.
Can I not give 0 stars? How incredibly rude they were to us when we walked in with a reservation. No wonder why this company is going bankrupt! Horrible customer service! They didn’t have the vehicle that we reserved on the lot. They were still going to charge us the upgrade for the different vehicle. When we asked for the same price as what we booked, they rudely said “no, that’s your fault sir for not booking ahead “ was the response we got from him! Went down the road to enterprise and had an awesome experience! Never looking at another rental car place again!
Rude and condescending for absolutely no reason. They need to replace at least 1 of the employees there who's customer service skill is treating customers like complete garbage.
My entire experience was awesome! It was a very smooth and easy process to get my car rented. My car looked brand new inside before they let me get into it. The two guys I delt with were friendly and helpful every time I called. Thank you so much!
