Avis Car Rental

We had experienced some less than great flights only to arrive at Dane County Airport to discover the Avis location did not have our reservation. In error I had booked at Darwin Road. The counter agent offered to either help us get transportation to Darwin Road or she could rebook at the Airport but the taxes and fees would be higher. As we were already out of patience we agreed to let her rebook for the airport pick up/return. Not only was she able to quickly re-book the reservation, she got us an upgrade and a great rate that made everything work out for about the same money. During the process she was so pleasant and helpful she really made up for all the other disappointing experiences we had that day. Sadly I left the paper with her name on it in the car but that young lady deserves HIGH PRAISE and RECOGNITION. She is a credit to your organization.

We made are reservations a year in advance. We specifically asked for a Ford because we got a Chevy the year before and the seat didn't adjust nor did the pedals so if you are short like me it is a huge problem. Talked with them a few different times and was told most of the 12-15 passenger vans are fords and they made a note on my reservation to try and make sure we got a Ford. Well we got there no Ford and was told they hadn't had fords as part of the fleet in years. Oddly enough when we returned the vehicle they had fords in the lot. So not sure what the run around with this is. Other things they need to work on... 1. are pickup time was 8am we got emails twice a month reminding us that are vehicle would be ready for us and to make sure we weren't late. Called to see if we were going to get a Ford or needed to bring a pillow to sit on so I could see over the hood. Well at that point they said we are sorry but you won't be able to pick up your van until 10am. We had a 22 hour drive and now we were 2 hours behind what we had planed. A little heads up would have been great. 2. The vehicle wasn't clean at all. Food on the floor and dirty cup holders. 3. The vehicle was falling apart. The panel inside on the back door was detached apparently the duct tape didn't hold up. The drivers side mirror had a broken clip and kept popping out and dangling by the wire.... I will say that unlike hurtz they kept the reservation and actually had a vehicle for us.

My license was expired and I called customer service and explained the situation and he assured me 110% that Avis Corp. has extended the expired licenses to be able to rent cars for another two months. Once I got there, the counter person told me they do not obey the corp. rules. Each individual place has their own rules. I will not rent a car from them again.

We were traveling to college campuses in WI and MI that doesn't have cell service, I requested add on Nav. Your office, automatically upgraded me with a car that already had Nav. That saved me $100, that I'll surely use when i move my daughter into college. Thanks so much!

The lady at the counter was very nice and accommodating. I did not have a reservation and they were very busy, but still able to get a rental.
