Avis Car Rental

I’ve been renting from Avis from another location for years now which is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. However- with this particular location I am NOT satisfied. I was charged for an additional 2 days, and explained to them that I called multiple times Saturday morning before my rental was due at 12pm with no answer. I dropped The car off Saturday around 12:30-1:00pm and got charged for an extra 2 days $200 and late fees (which I understand the late fee because I WAS late). I would even understand if they charged me a extra day. But they charged me 2 EXTRA days, like i returned the car on Monday.. if someone would have just answered the phone Saturday morning when I called you guys would have known i was giving a courtesy call to let you guys know i was running a little late. But now here I amnwith a $200 charge !!!!!! I love and usually have a good experience renting with avis, but this is inconsiderate and not very courteous. Especially when i was being courteous to call you guys and let you know I was running a little late. So again, i understand and take responsibility for the late fees even if you guys charged me 1 extra day for being late! But you charged me 2 extra days!!!! I will never go to this location again.

I rented a car from Avis car rental on 9/30 -10/3 total for the rental was $175.38 which is stated in the email and rental agreement. I took the car back with a full tank, well a little over the Full line to be exact!!! I checked my bank statement and was charged $191.37 ! I called the local office on French street in Wilmington de and was giving the number to billing. I spoke with billing who advised that there was a fuel charge. Which i can’t understand why; then he tells me he can’t credit it back unless i have a receipt and can remember the gas stations name and location. I asked for a supervisor they declined .nnSo i finally sat and thought back to the day i took the rental back and the black lady at the front desk who was very unpleasant as i tried to return the car. I told her i was in a hurry and it was parked on the side i needed to be somewhere she kept saying how i had to take it all the way down to the garage and bring back the keys. Another rep who was working took the keys and said just go head it was okay that she would take it back for me. Long story short she put that girl charge on their being tf smart. So should i just dispute this transaction or reach out to corporate!??? Oh and the Avis rep in the billing department would not give me any contact information for corporate either!!!

Reasonable rates, clean reliable cars, fast quick service, overall very good car rental service. Already recommended to my mother who was a enterprise customer for years that's making the move to give avis a try.

I have rented cars from here and the service is always exceptional regardless if the line is out the door or if I am the only customer there, thanks Avis.

Great car rental rates but be sure to make reservations
